        Guys,

You have no idea how awesome this post is for me. This stuff and this station is what made me go into radio in the first place. I haven’t heard these in a long time. Thank you so much for putting this on here. Listening to them in the 80’s, KEGL was the best.

        Thanks again.

Great, Rich. I knew about KEGL because my old pal Andre Gardner worked there. He then moved to New York to be line producer of the Howard Stern show and is now doing his old voodoo at WMGK Philadelphia.

            It’s certainly a small world.

I’m really looking forward to hearing the free flight launch they used before the top of each hour. That may have been an in-house piece though. They were all good jingles and really matched what they were doing at the time. The great Rock 40 format.

            Looking forward to hearing more.

Hey Rich ! haven`t forgotten about the KEGL cart you sent me – waiting for the cart machine to be repaired – hopefully there will be more KEGl jingles to share on jinglelmad from that dusty old cart of yours !

and Geoff mentioned Andre Gardner – checkout this aircheck of Andre on KEGL – is this hot or what………….

That David would be the Free Flight I’m talking about.

They took the original short version and reproduced it in house if I remember correctly. Played it at 5 before the TOTH. It was cool, because you always knew then you were going to get 40 minutes of music, commercial free.

Thanks again. I can’t wait for that cart to be done. There’s more good stuff we haven’t heard yet.

                  Rich
