JAM produced a lot of great packages in the late 90s for several European stations, like this one:

Mostly in coproduction with Top Format.

      My questions:

      – Do you guys know any resings of for example this package? I do not!

      – Why weren't these packages demoed for US-market?

      – Are there any other rare European packages that you even cannot find in the 'Package Library' of JAM?

        Marc hello :)

I love the My Donna & other Radio Donna packages, none of which seemed to appear on the JAM site, maybe it was down to licencing ?

Same is true for a number of Sky Radio packages, The Best of Both Skies was the last I recall demo'd for others.

However … Some of the recent packages out of Jam are reviving cuts from Sky Radio packages, there are 2 demos on their site with definate Sky Radio cuts slightly re-worked. They did similar with the UK Heart 106.2 ID's when some of those were re-worked for FRESH 102.7 in New York …

I like the Top Format work, my dutch friend at school got me into Radio 10 Gold back in the 675 AM days & there were lots of locals in Essex listening for the hi-energy English oldies mix :) We listened for the jingles ! Top Format resings of Jam WNBC jingles …

My understanding with Jam's Euro custom packages is that it's been hard to then persuade US stations to take them, our Metro FM custom appears on the Jam site for a station Y98 FM and similar happened with the UKRD custom package which was demo'd for a US station. TM had the same problem I think too with 107 The Bee, maybe something to do with how US clients cant imagine their K or W call letters being sung over the more European station names ?

Sure someone can confirm or deny this :)

I think recent Donna jingles are Top Format only or maybe even Wise Buddah ? Not too sure.

          Hi ST,

Thanks! I know the latest KEZK-cuts are from SKY. JAM did also Veronica (later for a station in Arizona) I remember.

The latest Radio Donna cuts were indeed solely from Top Format…

Hit Power was for Power 92…but started out life on Veronica – listen closely and you'll here the Veronica sonic logo from the 60's on cut 1!

You could classify Energy and Energy 2 in here (NRJ France) ,as they've hardly been resung for anybody in full – the only exceptions being a few cuts resung for Key 103,The Pulse, and TFM here in the UK,although I'm sure Jon can prove me wrong! :-).

And Now also started off life as a custom for the UKRD group here in the UK,but for some unexplained reason, never got used due to a change in management just after it was finished.

The one I would have loved to heard resung was for The Pulse in 1994,as it had the best TOTH! As far as I know,it was a JAM custom but I've never heard it resung for anybody else.

A couple of cuts from My Donna found their way into the Kool Combo demo, which was made up from a composite of cuts from other JAM packages.

                I remember

                Veronica – Hit Power
                My Donna – ?
Best of Both Skies (SKY) – Classy 100 CleanSweep
                Heart 106.2 – Fresh 102.7 (partly)
One FM – Never syndicated in the states?, it was demoed

There's also Alpha Rock Radio in Germany as mentioned on the Top Format 30 Years Young & Dynamic CD.

I imagine one reason that the BBC packages received demos in the US could be the prestige and pride associated with being a jingle supplier to the BBC at the time, aside from any potential re-sing business?
