      Excellent David!
      Even a PAMS Series 34?
      :^)

The “tinkly piano” one at the end – which package? Can’t remember it off the top of my head, but Radio 2 had it circa late 1970s?

Hi Iain – it was from the JAM Focal Point package. Yeah always had a soft spot for PAMS Series 34!

Beautiful jingle it is too. 2 versions as far as I know aired.
            Sounds easy…/It’s the late show… …here on Radio 2.

Thanks Gents – haven’t listened to the “Focal Point” demo in a long time!
Quite a lot of audio I need to pull out and have a listen to again while stuck in here.

Something about that cut though rattles in the back of my mind to do with the old Pepper-Tanner
“Easy Listening” package that Radio 2 had circa 1969 – must be the tinkly “ivories”….

Don’t forget probably the most used version – ’round midnight, here on Radio 2′

Well done, nice to have personal cuts from the same year for both Radios 1 and 2.

I’d be 11-13 years old around 1980-1982 when that would’ve aired, so would be in bed and missed that one :(
I usually heard “Sounds Easy” version regularly on a Sunday afternoon after the 15:00 news.
“It’s the late show” I heard only once but remember it vividly. I happened to stay up fairly late on a Saturday evening in 1981 and Peter Marshall was doing the late show (23:00-02.00 if I remember rightly).

Can anyone upload the “Round midnight” version to SoundCloud? Thanks.

I know its not the earlier one, but here’s the 1986 “alt” versions

Haha thanks Jeffrey, I aim to please! I first listened to this opus way back in 1980 when BBC Radio 1 had a version. The lyrics on my version echo the Radio 1 lyrics in a few places.
