When me and the 2 radio-guys were in Texas recently, the first radio station we heard was Jack FM in Dallas. Just in case you missed this a few weeks back – here`s a link to some of their jingles.
Jack FM are using jingles from JAM and TM Century.

Jack FM is a cool format. I like the use of Warp Factor from Jam and the Jack FM Package from TM Century.

Thanks for those, David. The debate cuts are pretty funny and the JAM and TM/C cuts are great!
When I was in Dallas this summer, I first heard JACK-FM and didn’t really like the format. But last month, we got our own JACK-FM (KCJK) in Kansas City. After a few weeks of listening, I’ll admit it grows on you.
I’ve heard some of the same clever sweepers, but I haven’t heard any jingles yet. I hope they add some soon.
(edit) I just heard Cut 12A from TM/C JACK-FM(You) on air! “JACK-FM!…Kansas City!” I hope some JAM cuts arrive soon!

No problem Mike……….
From a jingle collector`s point of view I found it interesting how Jack FM are using JAM and TM Century jingles on-the-air at the same time. I like the piss-take by TM Century of the YOU campaign too. Instead of YOu it`s “WE play what we want”.
I know the original YOU campaign in the 70`s was used by several stations in Canada and nowadays Canada`s version of Jack FM is BOB.

MemberI love this stuff. It’s fun, it’s creative, and it proves that good production is more than just chucking in as many wooshes and zaps as possible.
Got any more of it?

I like that format. It is fun to listen to. Your whole family can listen without having to be worried about the kids hearing it. It is not obcene, I can not say that about 90% of todays CHR stations. The combo of jingles is great! The TM Cuts are more mellow, while the Jam cuts are upbeat and familiar in just about every market. I hope Minneapolis gets Jack FM.

Cheers for posting the Jack FM stuff!
Great to hear ‘You’ getting resung recently by TM Century! I wonder if there are any other examples of older material from Tom Merriman’s back-catalogue getting the TM Century treatment?

Totally agree with you Chris – putting fun back into radio and do you realize there`s no jocks on Jack FM………..just jingles, liners, commercials and music.
I`ll get another montage together – I`ve got about 8 hours worth of Jack FM and I know the radio guy has hours and hours of Dallas-Fortworth radio !

Yup! My MD recorder goes wherever I go (that includes airchecking while 20,000 ft over Alabama & Georgia!). I have around 127 hours of DFW radio from the week we were there. 🙄
