Ah, very exciting! Just 5 minutes before we hear the brand new imaging for “The Radio 1 Chart Show with Fearne and Reggie”.

Looking forward to it! Something that sounds like a good old-fashioned chart countdown bed, that's what I'm hoping for… y'know, logos, a good beat, grows as the countdown commences… that sort of thing.

Fingers crossed!

The theme now includes over 53 individual components with quick and slow logos in a variety of different bpm's.

Certainly a very gutsy, pacy effort! and is that a
hint of a 7-note “B-B-C Ra-di-o One” logo in that
lead guitar work???

That guitar “up and down” slide work vaguely
reminds me of “Judy in Disguise” by John Fred
and the Playboy Band from 1967 !

53 “components” sounds like a bit of over-kill though
for a single programme (even the Chart) – would
they really ever get round to using them all – unless
40 of them were the chart position number!

Disappointing show with the presenters, no full countdown at the end and pretty much the same jingles as with JK & Joel. The only good thing about the programme was the music. Thanks for posting it Paul, where did you get hold of that because it's not on the IQ Beats website?

I was expecting not to like it… but actually, I think that's pretty good! Not as good as a proper sung package would have been, but very nice as far as it goes.

I can't stop myself singing “BBC Radio One – It's the Chart Show!” to the end bit.

I suspect the last four words are just me making it up rather than anything intentional, though

Fearne and Reggie continue to be dire, anyway. Could they not find ANYONE better?
