I was listening to the excellent Midweek excerpt with Jon Wolfert talking about jingles with Libby Purves and – of all people – Kenneth Williams today. Never listened to it before because I was worried it would be a bit sneery, but – apart from a few silly questions from Purves – it was really good.

And then the name of the producer came up at the end, and it all made sense…

Thanks for 'reviving' this topic ~ it was a perfect lead-up to Christmas 2009!

I wonder if we might tempt Jon to 'unwrap' a few more goodies from the JAM vaults as an Autumn into Christmas present for 2010? It's been a mixed year in Britain for local radio so not a great year for the jingle industry, but some 'seasonal nostalgia' would be good.

The best piece of Chr… er…holiday (oops nearly said Christmas) imaging in my opinion is the truly wonderful JAM orchestral theme that JMW uploaded last year. Makes the hairs on my arms stand up every time I hear it.
