      Hi jingle-gurus.
I came to remember a thingi from the 80s and I’ve had it in the back of my head while digitizing old cassettes of airchecks and my own radio history.
And there I found it. And its all I have. Memory tells me I got it from a friend that had recorded this of a radio in Switzerland.
I have no ide about it. Is it a generic from a collection or if its an in-house thingi? Or if its a custum?

Anyone that could shed some light would realy make my day.

I regret that I only kept this and not all of the tape from my friend. But luckily its not many cassettes I havent held on to :)

i would appreciate any information on this,

Whoever produced that jingle sounds like (to me anyway) that they tried to copy a certain JAM jingle.

It’s a copy of a JAM KIIS cut, obviously. There were a few French production houses who did these kind of jingles back in the 80s. But the only one I thought was still in the game from that era, Freeway Music, never did these kind of rip offs…

My thoughts were the same – but the only “rippers-off” of “Z100” and similar JAM cuts I know of were SoundHouse
here in Scotland – and that item there is definately not by them!

PS – are Freeway still in the jingles business? Can’t locate an extant website.
            Its 5 years now since we were last in France on holiday hearing French radio;
I know that “Juin 21” seemed to win over NRJ Group work but I’ve no idea what has happened since.

The JAM Hot KIIS cut that the company was trying to emulate is at #2 here:

Two years ago they produced the new on air identity for Chérie FM the nationwide AC outlet in France:

                  https://soundcloud.com/user-28739199/nouvel-habillage-pour-cherie-fm-la-plus-belle-musique

Their vocal arrangements are really well written though they always tended to use a lot of synthesized instrumentation.

Their website was always out of date. Regarding NRJ, I always thought Pure Jingles was their preferred supplier: https://purejingles.com/showcase/nrj-2020

Thanks Marc…”The Most Beautiful Music” indeed – that distinctive vocal sound with the Costa sister (?) solo on top of the harmonies.
The logo melody and layered sound classic for Cherie FM over the years.

PS – I’m STILL always on the lookout for the circa 1998-ish Cherie FM package in-the-clear !
(All I have are the demos and my old summer holiday cassette airchecks!)
