      Knowing that under present circumstances a fair number of JMers are staying at or working from home,
      and “cabin fever” will be setting in, this thread will be an occasional chunk or two of jingle audio if
      anyone would like some “stuff on in the background”.

      Could I please ask though for no other “audio entries or links” to be posted in this specific thread, so that anything in it
      is purely just from me – though I’d much welcome others to setup and run a similar thread(s) of things from THEIR collections!

      As a starter, a small “Holy Grail” amongst UK collectors!
      The quality is not quite A1 but its taken YEARS to get hold of these at all.

        Jingles always brighten me up, thank you. On one of my visits to Fife, I remember doing a ‘frequency sweep’ in the early 90s and listening to “Radio Forth, RFM, 97.3!”

          Yep, must admit I’ve been using the extra time at home to listen to more jingles in a bid to keep me uplifted in the current crisis.

          Not heard those Radio Forth “Great Music Radio” David Balfe jingles before Iain so thanks for sharing.

                  The story I got was that the words “Radio Forth” wasn’t on the original sings, just “RFM”,
                  and “management” were appalled and there was a hasty resinging with the full name.

                  Whether any good dubs of the “original takes” are still extant? Who knows.

                  Indeed, ANY ref dubs or master/multi-reels of the years & years of Balfe/Soundhouse material for
                  Forth and the Forth Group between the EMIson years and the SRH (Scottish Radio Holdings) days
                  are a very much a “Grail” for me – I have some very grubby bits and pieces but if any “good stuff”
                  is “out there” ITS HARD! (except for the yuck “Greatest Music Latest Hits” song rip-offs – no
                  problem with them, unfortunately!)
