I was trying to think back today, as to how many jingle packages I’ve actually purchased for stations.
The very earliest for me was picking out cuts for WZID in Manchester. We bought a composite of Houston mix II and III. I had always love jingles, and was excited to be included in the process. I remember listening to the session via ISDN as it was sung.
Shortly after that I left WZID and became a program director, buying jingles for every station I was involved in. The first package I bought myself was RW Kiss 108 for WJLK. then a few years later I bought TMs Alice 106 and RW kiss 108 ’99 for KLAL. Kiss 106 for WXLO, TM’s rough and ready and RWs KYGO for KSD in St. Louis. Then it was off to Bend Oregon. I bought fly 92 for KXIX. Country buzz for KSJJ. A composite of JAM nIce cuts, TMs double power 2 and GMI’s free flight for KMGX. I also bought a couple of Christmas jingles from JAM for KMGX. Off to Michigan, where it was a collection of Thompson creative cuts for WQKL and W4. (I had the Kool 107 jingles sung with the Q107 Washington logo. It sounded so good! )Then the new WPLJ for W4. After that it was Seattle at KKWF where I used Thompson’s Wolfpack and then had 5 or 6 custom cuts on top of that. I believe that later became Wolfpack 2. I also had the RW Beatmix package, which we didn’t use all that much. It sounded strange. I bought a few JAM warp factor cuts for the jocks and then had a full custom package done by IQ beats. As I was leaving, the new PD had real world do a custom package, it sucked. It was on the air for a few weeks and they went back to the IQ cuts. When I left Seattle, I was working on a consulting basis and purchased IQ jingles for 945 the vibe in Vegas, MY 106.1 in Flagstaff Arizona, TM cuts for some Internet projects including a resing of we play the hits for “at work mix” and Proton for my LPFM station. I also wrote and ordered the last jingles for KUPL in Portland before they changed names. Now I am in Savannah, and purchased TM jingles for rewind 1079, a totally reworked ignite package for CHR Y100, I have another order of jingles coming for rewind 1079… And more projects on the way!!
Why do I think I’ve missed some?
