Incredible!!!! I never heard these, ever. Sounds like a TM thing from that period. Almost like DBSV but not.

        Fascinating! Thanks for posting.
NEVER heard these before either – very “alive” sounding (especially compared
with today's lifeless vocals and dull tracks).

They sound almost like an old “Yes” album, especially those vocals – and is that vocoder
        in there rather than sonovox?

And yet…on the airchecks they sound too strong and “rocky” for the 80s pop that the station
seemed to be playing – did the “new sound of the Zoo” survive for long?

WZOU went through a myriad of changes; Originaly WHDH FM, they became a rocker, WCOZ. It then flipped to CHR WZOU in 1983. They went through several slogans and format adjustments. Knowns as “Boston's Zou”they used those jingles heard above, then became known as “Z-94” using JAM jingles. The station then changed back to “94 point 5 WZOU” and used several other jingle packages, including Firstcom's PowerLock and a custom that might have been from TM. In 1993, the station became a rhythmic CHR, Jam'n 94.5
