While relocating a bunch of old reels, I found one with a jingle package for KNX FM. While rather undistinguished overall, I did enjoy the one featuring Trella Hart in the lead singers spot (One of my all time favorite jingle singers!).
I have provided a link to the audio of that track, in hope that one of the many experts who gather here could ID the package (if it is not a custom job) or the year in which it was produced. As it was on a 5″ reel with a PAMS sticker on it, I am assuming it is one of their creations. Thanks in advance to my fellow jingle freaks!
February 19, 2015 at 8:26 pm #97215UKJinglesMemberooohhh..One I can answer……PAMS “Naturally” (1973?)
Here the Radio One Versions on Norman’s Page at http://www.normanb.net/bbc2.htm
(I love the BBC Correspondence between Radio One and PAMS…Especially Johnny B’s during the dying days of PAMS!)
There’s also many other versions across Ken R’s compilation CD’s!February 19, 2015 at 8:31 pm #97216JohnLMany thanks Pete… have to check my Ken R comps although they tend to be more of the “PAMS Classics’ variety in my case… Thanks once again!
February 19, 2015 at 8:51 pm #97217loujosephsThe music director at the time these were cut later became the chief sales person for HLC..Ron Hicklin and co..
February 20, 2015 at 3:45 am #97219glenThe one I’m thinking of is the PAMS one that was also done for WBBM Fm. When you high on country sunshine or alone in my room…

Very nice musically.February 20, 2015 at 10:10 am #97223LenGroatI quite liked this package – to me it was musically designed to go with Joni Mitchell / CS & N American music of the era (it certainly would not work with ‘Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep !)
MB: Yes I bought one cut from Naturally in 1975 for Metro (Radio 1 had all the other good ones) It was what Glen knows as “When your high on country sunshine” and my lyric was:
You’re listenin’ in to Night Owls
And good music on the north-east sound
Metro ~ 97 ~ Stereo
With the James Whale Show”James used it for years! I’ll try and find the audio unless someone else has it handy (?) I wonder if anyone knows WHO sang the solo on this cut?

I could be wrong, but it sounds like Cheryl Cleavenger, but I could be wrong. Jon would be able to confirm who sings lead.

February 20, 2015 at 10:02 pm #97244LenGroatThanks TC – I think your filing system is 10,000% better than mine
+ I even forgot one line of lyric – my excuse is I’m 65 and retired
Might the Metro version be Jackie Dickson on solo – or had she left PAMS by mid-1975?
