September 26, 2004 at 7:11 pm #24212ratnobMemberWell I certainly did as instructed and am just sobering up. All in the name of solidarity, of course. How did the event go?

September 26, 2004 at 10:49 pm #24217DavidHemsleyWell, I’m exhausted . . . . but it was sure worth it.
Thanks to all that attended, and the lucky buggers that one in the raffle – well done Dave Nightingale on winning the Studio Dragonfly resing.
To the rest of you . . . . listen to Jingle Network News next Friday to “hear” what you missed !
And tomorrow . . . . wait and see
September 26, 2004 at 11:15 pm #24218mbMemberand don’t I just look so chirpy on those pics Nice to meet everyone especially as it was my first “meet”. Well done to Robin who whenever a jingle was discussed could summon it up on his laptop!! It was the first raffle in my life I’ve ever won something!!!
I’m hoping those shouts come out did anyone else notice the looks for mthe other people in the pub!!!
Although I think it must be the most expensive vocal group to bring together – if not the prettiest.Nice to meet everyone

September 27, 2004 at 11:56 am #24220NickySMemberI echo everyone who said what a great day – sorry I had to disappear so early to go to work.
Just spending my day off listening to everyone’s montages 😆
Here’s to the next one … and thanks to “The Management” for getting hold of so many great raffle prizes. Now if we only we could get a complete JAM package re-sing for next time …September 27, 2004 at 12:01 pm #24221DevawebMemberReally enjoyed it – great goodie bag and really good prizes… even if Big Dave won them all!
Am still working my way through the CDs, but have thoroughly enjoyed Fre-qy’s fab Century megamix and Dave’s montage of all-sorts!
Great to see everyone,
Chris
September 27, 2004 at 12:02 pm #24222GrahamCollinsMay I add my version of the same sentiments – a splendid afternoon and great fun.
I think the shouts will be fantastic – it’s gonna test Audition to the limits cleaning them up but it could be the start of a regular feature
For the record, Mr Hemsley – take a bow – well done Sir !

With the exception of the infamous “JAM 30 Years” CD that Sean brought along with him 😉

September 27, 2004 at 5:31 pm #24227smilerIt was a great day
Thanks for everyone who organised the event and what a great goodie bag. I listened to aston’s cd last night but fell asleep half way through (I think that was due to too much alcohol consumed yesterday). I will be listening to them all later on when I finish wok.
See you soonSeptember 27, 2004 at 6:08 pm #24228freq-kyIt was a great day had by all and Big Dave raised the bar on his mixdown(The 4th one made me cry as you know. This one caught me with my knickers down as well as surprised me)which listened to when I got home despite too many pints of IPA finally catching up with me.Great to see a lot of people and fantastic of Hirsty to do a whistle stop before doing Hit 40 UK.
And of course, well done to Dave for putting together a brilliant goody bag.Now if you excuse me,I gonna muck around with the Mpowermix Big Show cut on the morning show CD.See y’all in November in Manchester…………I hope
September 27, 2004 at 6:43 pm #24229mbMemberI also thinks many thank are due to those people / companies who donated prizes – each and every one was generous and much appreciated by the winners and it was nice for people to recognise thier fans
Cheers guys – Also big thanks to TM for all those demo discs.
September 27, 2004 at 9:45 pm #24230BigdaveRight…I’m back now so time for me to say me piece …
Thank you to all that made it to the George yesterday . In the words of the JAM song (with poetic licence), it’s true to say that there’s a friend we know called radio and it means a lot to us …. Excellent CD’s from those that did them – nice stuff Freq’s (and nice use of the technology-this man will go far!), a big hand to Mark H (again) for what must be the most professional looking one (and for bringing a smile to my face when the JAM song came on at the end just as the train was pulling into Doncaster) , Chalks (like it ,like it,like it !) and some nice R1 stuff from Nicky ! Just a reminder that I will do any copies of my CD to anybody that wants one who did’nt attend,so let me know….
As for the raffle – well, what can I say ? I’m chuffed to say the least ! Even I did’nt think I’d got a cat in hells chance … but don’t worry Chris, I’ll let you have copies of it all , and the rest as well !!!!
Finally – a big hand to Dave and Mr M for all their sterling efforts for arranging such a successful event . It amazed me what Dave managed to get sorted out for goody bags – now that’s impressive ! Gentlemen – keep up the good work !
As for the shouts – when’s the next session? And do the JAM singers ever have a Stella before they do a session ?
See you in November in Manchester then – and time to start the next mix !
September 27, 2004 at 10:26 pm #24231DavidHemsleyThe Shouts . . . .
These are unedited – and as you’ll hear there was an obscene problem with my jack plug. But I’ve left it all in. What was on the disc anyway – if yours isn’t there I apolgise. Naff equipment.
Feel free to grab em and clean em and make em sound cool.

Same goes for my CD too – PM me if you missed the event and want a copy.
Hope everyone had a good day on Sunday; it was just a shame I couldn’t be there. Hopefully I should be able to make the November one in Manchester.

September 28, 2004 at 8:13 pm #24233MartinSSorry I missed it this time. Sounds like it was the best one ever, glad you all had a grand time!
Will definately aim make the next one, especially as it sounds as though it might be local for me. Had a couple of ideas on venues since the last Manc one, so if it’s not already decided I’m happy to suggest.
Martin
September 28, 2004 at 8:19 pm #24234GrahamCollinsRight, I’ve cleaned up the shouts and polished them a bit. Some are pretty damn good – Robin’s was ruined by general chatter at the bar but Stacey’s, Chris’, Dave’s and Mike’s are up there.
I need some webspace to post them – any offers ?
September 28, 2004 at 9:26 pm #24235MadHi Everyone,
It’s been great reading everyones replies to what a good time everyone had on Sunday afternoon – myself included
David did a fab job with the prizes, my hat goes off to him for organising that and the event.
Great to see so many faces there too, thanks to everyone that turned up. Who’d have thought a website would create such great social events and new friendship.
Thanks again – and put a wee note in your diary for November 27th in Manchester for the next one.
Roy
