Don’t think this jingle has every been heard on JM. Was part of a package recorded for County Broadcasting in Paisley in Scotland by Jam, way back in 1990 when they were broadcasting on a restricted basis, a week of ‘test’ broadcasts or RSLs. Must try and locate the rest of the package.

I should add that the slogan ‘Your Best Buddies’ is a reference to folk who come from Paisley. The are referred to as Paisley ‘Buddies’.

And iRONically (sorry…) that cut re-appeared on Paisley-overlapping Clyde 1 a couple of years later,
as did various JAM cuts that Glennifer Sound’s rival licence winner Q96 had from JAM that “duplicated”
existing JAM in the area.

While it might not necessarily be of interest to JMers beyond the UK, there IS a whole pre-internet
era history of small package resings and even single-cut orders for smaller and/or RSL stations in
Scotland that could be a separate topic for another day.
