Love the “Solid Gold Saturday Night” cut; kind of reminds me of the “Acoustic Beatles” cut 2 from the “Radio2 Collection” package. Very nice.

Do you recall which Rewound Show the cut was featured in please as I’d like to listen back to that?

Thanks Geoff; I listened to the show at the time, but must have missed that.

There are so many great JAM jingles which remain un-demoed – I wonder if the other cuts in that package are also song inspired?

Thought you true jingle aficionados might enjoy this. As part of my personal cuts mix, Jon included this one.

I’d heard this jingle as part of the WSM Package, but then learnt it was originally made for WABC. As Jon puts it:

“SUMMER IS HERE AND GEOFF BARTON IS PLAYING MY SONGS (bed, ending with this cut returning to its ancestral roots by playing the WABC instrumental logo that used to be there in its youth)”

I’ve actually posted a slightly revised version of the audio (same link) in which the singing of the middle cut is even clearer in its sound and articulation.
Good question re: ‘SGSN’ and whether there’s a demo. I’m not sure. I heard Jon play ‘my’ cut on his Rewound Radio show and fell in love with it. But if there are other possible jingles of interest, I’d suggest emailing him. I suspect these big syndicated packages are less straightforward than for individual stations.
