I notice that the JAM package index has been updated with a 2003 package called “Gateway” for KEZK St. Louis, but no demo yet. Does anyone have any more info on this package?

Hopefully we won't have to wait as as long for a demo as for 2001/2's Feel The Magic and Feel The Magic Too!

        Listen to this.

I also know WALK 97.5 in Patchogue, NY uses this package as well.

Doesn't that KEZK work superbly in the transition to Tina Turner … ?

The main cuts of Gateway are now up on JAM's website.

Seems some cuts are based on Sky Radio's excellent custom cuts from a few years ago, I certainly recognise a few. Hodgey will definitely recognise cut#9.

              I love it!

That package is on KLRC right now!

Hey, Rob – you did well to spot this. Interesting that it's posted ONLY in cut-by-cut format.

Nice one Rob, thanks for letting us know about this.

                  Like Cody “I love it”…

D`know I check the JAM website nearly everyday (O.C.D. JAM fan or what !) but haven`t been there for about a week and missed the appearance of Gateway…cheers Rob.

I like the individual cuts option very much, but miss the “whole package” approach which lets you get the feel for the shape of the station sound as a whole (and is better for listening to on MP3, in the car, and all those other things that seem so odd to 'normal' folk) …

Glad I'm not the only one! It does pay off sometimes though.

I too would miss the traditional demo if the cut-by-cut format became a replacement, rather than an alternative.

The upside to cut-by-cut is that it's possible to get new packages online before a demo has been produced, which is a good thing.

                        (predictably)

I have to say these are VERY good…

and for the second time recently a crisper slightly finer vocal group sound from JAM (some new singers..?!)

Also.. look back at a previous LONG (interesting) KEZK topic.

                        So… in other people's terminology…

JAM ….. 'got them back' !!

Unforutunately I'm pretty sure that this JAM package was used on KEZK before the Zone ones, so it's still a loss for JAM.
