passivesi
I think they were a package called Danceman from Alfa, steve england and Jam – and they were produced for Kiss 102 then Kiss 105 when they had the strapline essential rhythm, then a foreign company which i can't recall the name sang the Number 1 for Dance and R&B package which was heard in Manchester – i just did a search on google for those though

Thanks guys, those are the babies I had in mind, although, how sad am I dreaming about jingles ? (I must get out more LOL)
It's also suprising to note they are US vocals on UK beds, did that happen very often ?, I know the reserve was exercised many times.
Thanks again for responding, much appreciated, my sanity is back on track, well almost anyway!! lol.

The Pulse had some of these cuts resung as part of their topup package in 1995.
Here they are against the original Galaxy 101/Horizon cuts!

Y'know I remember the Kiss 105 version of these – especially the news ramp & bed.
Or more to the point I don't as I thought it was Steve B who did the male vocals. Funny how time & beer affect the memory. :pSeptember 11, 2007 at 8:42 pm #32798Inferno
I didn't know The Hotter Mix was resung for other stations. They didn't make to the Alfa demos which was a shame.

MemberI think I read somewhere that PD Paul Chantler comissioned the Alfa package for Galaxy 101 at least thats how it was demo'd when I heard it the first time. He then went to Essex FM following the GWR takeover of the Chiltern Group & ordered Power Positive for our local Essex FM. They all appeared on an Alfa CD circa 1995/6 which included packages for the Supergold network, Swansea Sound & Soundwave, Top Flight fir Fox FM, Mirage for the Magic 756 AM and a sung package for Talk Radio. All Alfa tracks with US (JAM ??? Vocals) …
However I think some of the packages were joint efforts with Top Format, as Power Positive was sung for Radio 538 & Top Gold was originally for Radio 10 Gold. Even a package for Northsound 2 was sung for Austria's Wella Salzburg as I remember the Howard Hughes voiced demo telling me.
Hopefully some of the above is accurate lol, this was 10 years ago now !
