As we are sadly about to close Solid Gold Gem AM I was truly pleased to hear a NEW station that knows what it’s doing ~ thanks to THE Rockin’ Ron ~ what a guy ~ what a format ~ well done!

But will “The Sixties Cafe” get a “piggy-back” as an “HD-1” on FTR ?

After all – Ron S now has a “schedule” to fill just as any internet station does – one would assume he has to find “input” slots from other people, just as SGGAM did (does). Would Ron “go international” with presenters from this side of the Pond? Technically, as SGGAM showed, the “DJ” source audio can be brought in from just about anywhere.

Whatever happens, I will miss the sheer audio quality of SGGAM – its far superior to certain commercial stations around here on FM, or the “only AM quality just without interference” of many DAB channels.
