The ‘radio ripples’ of this ~ ~ ~ have reached Facebook ~ ~ ~ where THE Johnny Beerling has commented “Thank God for Tony Blackburn and Phil Swern keeping Jon Wolfert on the BBC airwaves.”
It’s good to know that Johnny is ‘on our side’ !
October 10, 2015 at 11:25 am #98641GrahamCollinsPete is absolutely right – finger is poised over the record button ! Another couple of cuts and a weather bed and Tony has a complete JAM composite package to play with I hope he starts to string them together like he used to do. A good day for JAM fans.
October 10, 2015 at 1:17 pm #98642PKMemberPampers and Nappy Pins on standby for Pete lol!
October 10, 2015 at 1:19 pm #98643RobinBlamiresAmazingly, one I can actually remember resung from the 1990 Custom. 1FM cut 15 to be more spec…
October 10, 2015 at 1:33 pm #98644RobinBlamiresIt gets better, resings from “Pro/Mod” and “Music Now”. Two out of the five so far from Radio 1 customs!
October 10, 2015 at 2:50 pm #98645rakMemberThat “Music Now” cut is lovely. I can’t remember when I last listened to the launch of a new JAM (mini) package on Radio 1 or 2. Much more fun without the cuts having been leaked before the first airing.
Glad that the audio was embargoed before Tony’s show, today. Much more fun that way.
October 10, 2015 at 3:04 pm #98646Sean MartinMemberAgree. The Music Now cut is great (haven’t heard the rest)!

I’ve waited so many weeks for these I managed to get prescribed medication for the event and it worked!
They were all Jingle-tastic and work a lot better than those Hybrid PAMS cuts.
Did anyone notice Tony did the “slight gap” for the Jingles as well?
Who’s gonna post them up on SC First?October 10, 2015 at 3:39 pm #98648SpoonsLove it. The Music Now cut is my favourite. Always loved that cut.
October 10, 2015 at 4:09 pm #98649GrahamCollinsThere’s still one more that he didn’t play !
October 10, 2015 at 4:51 pm #98650IainJohnston*&%$£& !!!
Mrs J insisted on wanting to go for the groceries!
All I heard from the car radio was the anticipated “Million Watts”… but … YUS!Well done TB and JMW – nice work Gentlemen :^)
Thank you ACD for providing the audio – and I’m also glad the pre-show embargo was upheld by those jammy beggars that (somehow) seem to have dubs of the cuts :^)
October 10, 2015 at 5:47 pm #98654IanFThanks for posting these. The hairs are standing up on my arms! Great job JAM and many thanks to Tony Blackburn
October 10, 2015 at 7:14 pm #98656gameswizardMemberI like the new jingles. I hope the previous ones haven’t been ditched though.
Superb Music Now cut – that Radio 2 sonovox is awesome. Sounding “identical” to the Radio 1 version from 31 years ago, it’s as though they were both recorded at the same time.October 10, 2015 at 7:36 pm #98657UKJinglesMemberAuthorThere’s still one more that he didn’t play !
Don’t do this to me GC……..
I’ve got to wait another week to find out the missing one…
It’s as bad as these Doctor Who 2 parters!!! )October 10, 2015 at 7:42 pm #98658PKMemberI’ve waited so many weeks for these I managed to get prescribed medication for the event and it worked!
Pete, you obviously missed the end of Tony’s alternative countdown (joke )
“And at Number One, it’s jinglepetetastic, it’s ‘Immodium’ by ‘Boots’!” Lol Only jokingOctober 10, 2015 at 8:14 pm #98659mbMember*&%$£& !!!

All I heard from the car radio was the anticipated “Million Watts”… but … YUS!But of course being Tony it had to be one billion watts of music power
October 10, 2015 at 9:35 pm #98660GrahamCollinsHere’s Tony using that same Pod/Mod Cut#4 back in 1979 – recorded off-air from medium wave.
October 10, 2015 at 11:14 pm #98661UKJinglesMemberAuthorAny “Cryptic Clues” Graham (Or Duncan..or whoever else who has heard them) to the last one…..
October 10, 2015 at 11:45 pm #98662LenGroatA great day….
For the BBC: to have more proper classic jingles on air….
For Jon: who faultlessly matches harmonies vocals and energy on jingles from decades ago
For JAM: no one else will ever equal their variety, originality, longevity and ‘jingleness’ !
And for (most) JingleMadders: in a world where ‘our’ kind of jingles are harder to find, we have ‘stuck at it’ and it was worth it!
October 11, 2015 at 1:51 pm #98663m_hodgeyMemberOnly just listening to these now thanks to the aircheckdownloads.com link, as I was ill in bed all day yesterday. What can I say? A great set of new jingles for Pick Of The Pops, with the “Music Now” one being my favourite out of the 4 heard so far.
My only small criticism is that “2 billion watts of music power” might have been more fitting for the lyrics to the 1FM cut#15 re-sing for emphasis on 2 and thus Radio 2. Other than that, a great job by JAM and I take my hat off to all concerned with bringing these to air.
Can’t wait to hear the last one out of the bag, hopefully on next week’s show.
October 12, 2015 at 5:56 pm #98666Jim DonahueApart from my own re-sing of the “stereo music” cut, this is the only other version I have heard. Anybody know of any others?
October 12, 2015 at 6:36 pm #98667SpoonsWas the ’96 Kiss FM’ version on the demo real or a fake station name just to demonstrate versatility? If it’s real, that’s another re-sing.

@ 2:37~2:48 here (WARNING: The vocals on the WLUM Music Now cuts – 0:55 onwards – are AWESOME!):
October 12, 2015 at 7:40 pm #98669Jim DonahueThanks Mike, I hadn’t heard any of these WLUM cuts before!
