I thought it’d be interesting to talk about fictional radio station jingles from movies and TV shows, and possibly video games as well, I only know 2 of them:

-A number of Family Guy episodes have jingle for the fictional talk radio station 97.1 WQHG-FM.
-There is a fictional newstalk radio station named “1080 GCR”, which is assumingly canon to the Batman universe since a jingle for the station can be heard in the opening credits of the 2018 film “Joker”.

Do any of you know about more fictional radio station jingles from movies and TV shows? Because I’d love to hear them.

I just realized – There’s also a number of fictional radio stations in GTA V, but I don’t know if they have jingles or not.

Not jingles as such, but “somewhere” I have a dub of the “promos” from the original version of The Fog

There was that one time where a Canadian Radio Station rebranded into The Simpsons infamous station “KBBL” for one weekend in the summer of 2007 to generate hype for “The Simpsons Movie”.

I think that… does count?…

Interesting. Though GTA did flip some jingles for their Flashback Radio in the GTA LCS game.
From the way it was sung (the part that goes “The Music Sounds Best On…”), It could be a PAMS or Ken R dupe.

If anyone knows who sang the WKRP jingle in the show itself (not the intro – the one that uses the WMAL logo melody), I’d absolutely love to know!

I’m not certain without pulling my DVD set, but didn’t the television series NewsRadio have at least one jingle for the fictional WNYX? I believe JAM did a radio jingle for the movie “The Firm” which played in the background, though I don’t recall the details offhand.

Honestly, Reelworld ate for this jingle package for a fictional station. Imagine you’re in Springfield, tuning in to KBBL and you heard THIS on the radio.
Fun times.
