A montage of Radio London jingles to celebrate BIG L’s 40th birthday on 23 December 2004, which seems to have largely gone unoticed. Strange given BIG L’s importance in creating format radio in Britain and the creation of Radio 1’s style in 1967.
As this is my first ever upload and montage, feedback would be most welcome, given I’m in virgin territory!
This sounds great. If ever a station was defined by its jingles, it was Big L, which in turn created the template for Radio One. Imagine a station today using such a range of styles, lyrics, and even languages in its IDs. A great, nostalgic montage, Johnnythefox – ‘the Magic of PAMS.’
