I had a good dream, and it’s not what you think.
I worked as a sales rep for a jingle company called “Ultrasound” in Spring Yard Zone.
I got to see many sessions with Dexter Douglas engineering, and Sonic Hedgehog (founder of this dream company) overseeing the jingle business. One of these sessions is a vocal session after the instrument session is done. One particular client we got to do a session for is KMRT-FM Springfield.
Miles Prower conducted a great choir of Spring Yard’s best session singers. To be specific, There’s the women’s section. Lola Bunny is on lead soprano, Molly McGee is on second soprano, Marinette Dupain-Cheng is on first alto, and Kim Possible on second alto. The men’s section contains Andy Baker (frontman of the Boo Fighters) on lead tenor, Adrien Agreste is on second tenor, Pete McGee on baritone, and Felony Carl on bass.
It was a great session for a working dream, I’d like to have it in my dream diary.
Have you worked for a fake jingle company in your dreams lately?

This was one of my favourites from another Alternate Reality……π

So, I had a dream about being part of a fictional jingle company called “AudioLabs Imaging” based in the Aether of Tigerlake (a fictional city).
The company had a “pre-post modern” concept and specializes in not only traditionally produced jingles in the fashion of JAM and TM, but also modern jingles in the fashion of Reelworld, Wise Buddah and Top Format.
They produce jingles for, just every kind of radio format in existence. From CHR to Dance, Oldies to Classic Hits, AC to Smooth Jazz, City Pop to Asia Pop, Standards to Religious, they got every package tailor-made for these stations. Their services were: JinglePack, a premade 12-theme jingle package, Vol.UP, an updating jingle and imaging service, Persona, a personal cut jingle service, The Vault, a set of remastered classic jingle collections and Tank’d, which is another imaging service, mostly for CHR and Adult Hits stations.
During my work there, we had tons of sessions led by our engineer which we call Mr Engy and the company was owned by its founder Barret and Gladio who foresee the jingle business at the ALI.
At that time, we’ve worked with a particular client, Oldies Y-103 a.k.a KIFY-DB in Tyler, Longview to create a particular package for them. The owner of the station wanted their station to sound modern, but retain the traditional feel of their older jingles. So, we had arranged a special band which consists of bassist Paul, drummer Theo, keyboardist Tidus, guitarist Alan and saxophonist Nathan doing the instrumental sessions.
For the vocal sessions, we had Jerry conducting the vocals. This package relied on the 8-voice group, which consists of 4 male and 4 female singers. So we had Steve as the lead tenor, Lakitu as the second tenor, Mr Knuckles on bass and Zidane on the baritone for the male lead. As for the female lead, we had Patricia on lead soprano, Rosi on the second soprano, and Terra and Aerith on the first and second alto as the last 2 can do both.
It was a fun experience despite taking a few weeks to realize this project, but it was worth the try. But after all, it’s just a dream.

Bring up more strings or brass in the mix or taking out most of the brass for country packages. Oh to be let loose with some of those tracks, that would be a nice dream. I think Iβd have to be more of the post production guy, my understanding of music is terrible.

Am I right?

Yes, those are the names of characters from various video games, and you recognized one of them ^^
It’s fun combining fiction with reality as if I actually owned a jingle company. π -
