February 11, 2011 at 9:37 am #77614DavidHemsleyBumping this for those that miss it . . .
February 11, 2011 at 5:26 pm #77615brucieDavid seeing these are from Jingles Factory can you ask them why they are seemingly using David Arnold instrumentals from the 80's and palming these off as their own creations on their various oldies demos ????
Smooth Oldies (SmoothJazz.com) first jingle is Radio 210, Essex Radio is @ 0:34 – if my memory serves me correctly this is one of the ManTran cuts.
Same with Paris Chanson first actual jingle in the demo is at 0:44 is Southern Sound, Invicta Sound is at 1:54 and 4:00!
Now I know these are now available as library music but I didn't think anyone could sell them for re-sings etc unless they hold the rights?
I'm also certain I've heard a lot of the other backing tracks elsewhere also.
If I'm in the wrong I apologise but confused I am here…
February 11, 2011 at 5:33 pm #77616DavidHemsleyIt's non of my business, that's why!
Maybe they have rights to these now – I don't know . . . . I've heard Airforce tracks too . . but it really is non of my business – they just sponsor Jingle Network, other than that I have no involvement at all.
Maybe ask them yourself?

No need to bite mate, was just asking. It's not my business either but if you know them (and obviously you do) even if there was any doubt of licensing and if I was in your position I'd want to know myself…
Certain old Airforce tracks were owned by Carlin now Warner Chappell and are freely available for licensing to broadcasters etc but not for re-sings by other companies and that is something I'm absolutely certain of.
February 11, 2011 at 6:05 pm #77618DavidHemsleymy “position” is . . . it's non of my business.
February 11, 2011 at 6:55 pm #77619mumossIf I was accepting sponsorship with a company and an allegation like that came up, I'd definitely consider it my business.
February 11, 2011 at 7:10 pm #77620DavidHemsleyThen how come no one questioned this when JF first started sponsoring JN back in Sept 2009 ?
We have no connection with JF other than they provide us with occasional jingle sings for our projects.
We don't sell JF products nor do we have any input with tracks they have in the inventory.
If you think JF are ripping off any producer then there are avenues for you to approach . . . this forum is not the place to accuse, it could land you yourselves in hot water if it is false.
Don't bother me with it – I'm just trying to enjoy my hobby.
February 11, 2011 at 8:29 pm #77623IainJohnstonMemberRegardless of the semantics – when the alleged David Arnold material first appeared on JF's site (3 years ago? … can't be certain) there was a Thread here on JM discussing the matter then.
Perhaps someone could have a trawl through JM “Search” and see if they can locate the original discussion – that might perhaps clarify the situation?
