Hi all.
I’m after the mid-80’s package from the now defunct ILR station for Exeter and Torbay, DevonAir Radio. This package, i believe, was done in-house after the station’s first and second packages, which were done by Alfasound. They featured “The beat goes on” and “At the heat of it all” jingles. I have some off-air recordings from the time, but would love some original cuts, but they are so difficult to get hold of – no-one seems to know who produced them in-house, or if any production company was involved.
Anyone’s help would be appreciated…..January 3, 2004 at 7:30 pm #12845BelloI have got a feeling I’ve got these on tape somewhere. Are these the ones that have the expression ‘At the Heart of Devon’?
January 3, 2004 at 11:35 pm #12846UKDJChrisYes, Bello, they were the mid 80’s ones, which also included “The beat goes on” jingles. There were later jingles, again I think in-house, produced towards the late 80’s/early 90’s too…..
January 5, 2004 at 7:09 am #12847NickySMemberIf you have them Bello you would make quite a few people very happy – I have been looking for them for years and only have a few on cassette/off air. So reminds me of my youth … if you find them 😆 😆

Anyone’s help would be appreciated…..They also had re-sings of the cuts for South West 103.
January 15, 2004 at 5:05 pm #12865BelloHello
I have the majority of the Devon-Air package from the mid-eighties on tape. I will go and have a look, if I have them – then I will transfer them over to CD and either upload them onto this site or folks can e-mail me and I will send out a copy.
..or the tape might have gone walkies.
I will post back with more news at the weekend!
Cheers
January 16, 2004 at 9:41 pm #12866UKDJChrisThanks, Bello. Much appreciated. Yes, RJO, they did have re-sings for South West 103.
February 16, 2004 at 7:03 pm #12999SpoonsNow, I remember a package for Devonair and SW 103 which sang ‘Devonair Radio – Your Number One’ and ‘South West 103 – The Latest Sound’
Must have been 1989 time?
Anyone remember those?
February 17, 2004 at 11:29 am #13000PrometheusI have the full songs from the ‘At the Heart of Devon’ package… but, like Nicky, I’ve been looking for the package for years. I can get you a copy of the cuts I have but if you find more – I’d love to get my hands on them. It crosses my mind that David Cousins would have a copy – track him down, I suspect he would have been involved in the production.

That’s a great cut Michael, there is a longer version of that cut with a talk-up bed at the start…..
August 9, 2004 at 10:16 pm #13765mbMemberI’ve not got it all yet – Only heard most down the phone – I dont think its complete but I’m not sure I have the longer version with the talk up bed but there is a longer version with different lyrics
The heart keeps burning, The house is jumpin’
But the best every lyric for an ILR has to be we’ll be your signpost on temptations way – what on Gawds earth was going on down there in Devon to need a signpost on Temptations way!!!!?????
