Watching the sad appalling situation of the flooding and hurricane storms in Dallas, Texas on the various TV news channels.

I just wondered how badly it is affecting Dallas and where JAM, TM, Ken Justiss, Tony Griffin Productions and other companies are?

According to this map, the rainfall predication (for Dallas) is around 4 inches of rain in 5 days from Harvey:

The Dallas Area is about 225 miles N/NW of Houston–it will feel the “effects” of “Harvey” but NOTHING compared to Houston/Galveston areas.

I’m heading there at the weekend – I’ll let you know if there’s any noticeable difference in Dallas.

Incidentally, I moved to Dallas in 2005, just after Katrina happened, and there were lots of displaced people who had driven to Big D with whatever they could fit into their cars – very sad then, and just as sad now.

Longtime lurker here … long time … anyway, I am in Houston, and yes, Dallas is not feeling the worst of the storm. Where Houston has received in excess of a meter of rain in most places and is still experiencing street flooding on major highways (I’ve seen photos of underpasses shown as 17 feet –5.2 meters– totally under water), Dallas is business as usual according to family living there.

I used to live in Victoria in ’95 (about an hour + South west of Houston)–went up to Houston to visit some folks–got to go to “Galleria” (6 different clubs in one mall-type” environment–pretty neat). Had some great times for only being in the area 6 months Hope all goes well for you & your fellow Houstonians.
