Ben Freedman has booked a Dallas session, 3 guys, 3 gals and a Clancy – all ready to sing over classic gwin tracks or Ben’s own 90’s tracks – also shouts/chants – superb harmonies from this classic group.
So if you want some great sounding jingles at a very realistic price, email jingleguy@comcast.net – tell Ben I sent you and who knows – he might knock you off a few quid.

MemberExcuse my stupidity, is there somewhere to hear the jingles that can be resung? I’m not an expert on the jingles in question, but I quite fancy having one done!

ask Ben – i’m sure he’ll send you some examples . . . . but basically all the Concept III, IRS and Gwnsound tracks.

Which of the Clancy’s is that?
It doesn’t do “a Clancy” justice to word it like that – Greg sings tenor and Jim sings bass which is a huge difference on a vocal chart!
Does anyone have any previous resings they could post so we can hear ’em. That’d be great.
Thanks!

Not bad at all Martin (Much better than my Manchester Mix Version from almost 20 years ago!)
As you most probably know the original “Summer Radio” Jingles were by Chris Rainbow and JAM re-created it for Phillip Schofield as a “One-Off”
Both I and Sean Martin did enquire to Jon W about it…
But due to the complex Harmonies involved it would of cost a lot more than a normal Custom cut!
Hey Sean how about posting the “Summer” cut you had made in the end?Pete

I know it wouldn’t have the same impact, but I wonder if JW would consider allowing re-sings with straight vocals?
Also out of interest anyone know what is the current, average cost, off a JAM custom cut?

MemberI know it wouldn’t have the same impact, but I wonder if JW would consider allowing re-sings with straight vocals?
The Answer is simply No
I would have been happy to have this sung with the standard 7 Voice group instead of the 5 Voice Male Group Stack but JW told me
We have been asked to do this cut several times, but always have to say “no”. It was based on a song or jingle originally done by someone else, and although BBC were willing to take responsibility for that, I’m not
In any case Brain Beck has retired from Jingles so even if it was possible you would never be able to get the same 5 guys back in the studio together
Anyway I have always liked this cut and Ben not only gives you the full Group Mix but also Girls only and Guys only Mix (Which is very Cool !)
Regarding Jam prices as quoted on
http://www.jingles.com/jam/collector/jampersonal.html
1 cut $250.
2 to 4 cuts $235.
5 to 9 cuts $225.
10 cuts or more $215.The following services are also available, however there are no quantity discounts for these items. Prices shown are for cuts with an average length of 7 seconds or less. Rates for longer cuts will be quoted on request.
Acappellas (vocal group only, no music track) $165.
Group Shouts or Chants (spoken only, no singing or music track) $65.Ben’s Prices
Range from $50 up to $200 but best to email him for a quoteor Demo’s on

Straight as in contrast to Gay or Camp Vocals??? 😆
$250 (£142) for 1 cut… a bit cheaper per cut for 2 cuts or more!!

Pete

Cheers for telling me the $250 “personal cut” re-sing price guys, but I already knew this (I’ve had 3 cuts done myself) It was the cost of a custom cut I wondered about- not that I’d be able to afford it!

I wouldn’t think JAM would do 1 “Custom” cut,only packages…..
Think how much it would cost to get the orchestra alone…….July 5, 2005 at 9:41 pm #16686martinlester
MemberTalking of Chris Rainbow
Does any one have a copy of the “Summer ” Song this jingle came from ?
