If this post is allowed… I’d like to introduce LFM Audio – Sung Jingles (http://www.lfmaudio.com)
Fully composed and produced from scratch Sung Jingle Packages for well under $1000.Audio Samples on Soundcloud now at http://soundcloud.com/lfmaudio.
January 10, 2015 at 11:25 am #96783IainJohnstonSeemingly based in New Zealand.
Audio work includes “sung jingles” for Castle FM in Edinburgh Scotland.
Unfortunately, a “tainted” station with a long & “troubled” history, supposedly a short-range “community station” for Leith but which was taken over and tried to be a psuedo-ILR for all of Edinburgh, including an illegally re-located TX with unauthorised power levels.Subject to “much discussion” on “other forums” etc ; but I’ll refrain from going further on that here.
But not really a good “client” to be associated with to publicise one’s wares.
However, interesting what they offer for “£600” basic custom (?) package on a 1-year licence.
Wouldn’t be confident on “vocal harmony work” though – “choose A female singer” from those available. Wonder if their singers, V/Os etc “do everything over the internet” rather than “locally” in NZ, then it gets “glued together”?For CR stations, hospital radio, internet stuff and other low budget clients – might indeed at least be worth a look?
January 10, 2015 at 5:39 pm #96786michiMemberI would be interested in knowing what the renewals will be. A 1-year license is very steep for some internet stations. I can see it in the terrestrial world but in the ‘net world (JAM Personal Cuts & iJingles), jingles are sold on a buy-out.
It is some pretty interesting sounding stuff, especially for ‘net and US LPFM.
January 10, 2015 at 6:35 pm #96787EthanLessiterHi Guys,
The current minimum package price this month for a full custom composed Sung Jingle Package for 3x Themes (consisting of 3x Slogans and 3 Stings) is $650USD. This comes with a 1 year broadcast license. After that year the package can be re-licensed for “less then the original package price” (less then $650USD).. we would hope however radio stations would update their Sung Jingle Package within that year anyway as it would surely have burn’t by that stage.
Hope that helps
January 14, 2015 at 1:41 am #96834simon_t123MemberMost sung packages see 2 years use … however that’s subject to takeovers, OFCOM licence revocation or running out of money my non-commercial internet purchases add up to like 15 cuts now, all Dallas sung & buyout … I’m all for new producers, I went with “Trax FX” for a project, one of our own here on JM was involved there, some fresh, modern cuts too, again on buyout …
Whilst it’s welcome to learn about a new jingle producer, for me those 1 year licensing terms are off-putting hopefully not to everyone mind … it’s certainly a buyers market
Some good samples from this company too …
January 27, 2015 at 4:03 am #96943kolossMemberVery interesting work- they sound good. You can understand them and don’t all sound alike. Seems like they went easy on the auto-tune as well, it is nice to hear real voices.
January 27, 2015 at 5:59 am #96944michiMemberThey say a 1 year “broadcast” license… I wonder if that would include internet only and for terrestrial broadcast, can I assume that I have market exclusivity for my cuts…
January 27, 2015 at 6:09 am #96945EthanLessiterRegarding Terrestrial Broadcast yes LFM AUDIO offers “market exclusivity” on your composed Jingle Package (with that 1 Year Broadcast License). But for Internet Stations “Market Exclusivity” can’t really be applied.
As of now all of Jingle Packages are completely composed from scratch to the clients specifications (packages start at just $650USD). Later this year LFM Audio are looking to offer Resell Packages also (which will be slightly cheaper).
January 27, 2015 at 8:50 pm #96946michiMemberMy point is would the one year license also apply to internet only and other closed-circuit uses since there is no market exclusivity?
I am looking forward to hearing your syndicated packages when they come out.
January 27, 2015 at 8:54 pm #96947EthanLessiterHi Michi,
Yes the 1 Year Broadcast License applies to Internet Only Radio Stations too.
Thanks,
EthanJanuary 27, 2015 at 10:20 pm #96958radiocitybillMemberFor me, considering reviving my former webstream, a 1 year license is a dealbreaker plain and simple. I’ll stick to JAM and the few iJings I ordered. Quality products offered at a fair price and, as The Boss would sing, Born in the U.S.A.
January 28, 2015 at 3:34 am #96960michiMemberI have to agree with Bill. For Internet and closed-circuit, that is a HUGE dealbreaker. I will consider it if I need jingles for terrestrial, but when compared with JAM Personal Cuts (for internet/closed-circuit), I will take the buy out. Back in 1990, I remember when I was buying JAM cuts for “closed circuit” purposes, Fred wrote me a license for 25 years with (IIRC) a $1 renewal. Jon, I will send you an extra $1 on my next Personal Cut buy.
January 28, 2015 at 4:28 am #96961EthanLessiterHi Michi & RadioCityBill
I’m sure the broadcast license could be negotiated on per client basis. Maybe get in touch direct and explain your station etc..
Overall LFM Audios current Internet Only Clients (and FM) are happy with the 1 Year Broadcast License and plan to update their package once a year to keep it fresh anyway.
My personal opinion is that Radio Stations should be updating Sung Jingles regularly (keep the same audio id tune but why play the same old dated jingles!), especially when the packages are so affordable .
LFM Audio aims to offer fully composed packages at such affordable rates ($650USD for a minimum fully composed package) so radio stations CAN update often.
I run a FM/Internet CHR Radio Station (http://www.lfmonline.co.nz) of which we update our Sung Jingles bi-annually and our Radio Imaging even more regularly. I personally would not want to air a jingle if its over a year old!
