Once a “tradition”, sometimes a mini-package, or even ENTIRE package (KQWB PAMS in the 1960s)
nowadays hardly heard at all on OTA stations (certainly around these parts). However, well-done Minster FM in York for at least having a go! :^)

December 23, 2016 at 9:39 am #100991gameswizardMemberTake away those “bells” and you’d never know they were festive.
The best Christmas jingles are those that are “Carol” based, or have a recognisable Christmas song base.
But festive compositions can be created from scratch… in the right hands@Paul Also, “Ingite Jingles are proud to be part of the fun!”
December 23, 2016 at 3:05 pm #100993bobgreenradioMemberremember, 3 maybe 4 years ago, the free custom download xmas jingle from reelworld? bells and all….
you just typed in the slogan/call letters/freq and voila! back it came…..all free.
granted, even though well done, and free, the clique will find fault with it.
haha, but, name another jingle mill that did this….for free….
ahaDecember 23, 2016 at 4:32 pm #100994IainJohnstonDont laugh Bob, but I’ve still got mine of those :^)
A clever wee bit of “grid-style” software processing they were too, and a good bit of fun.As for free…I discovered later they were uncannily similar to an old WTOD Toledo Christmas cut
…almost like someone had found the original scores?December 23, 2016 at 4:39 pm #100995GrahamCollinsI’m afraid I was very childish when I saw this service…… and now have jingles sung for two naughty named stations. The thing that makes me smile is that I know I wasn’t the only one who did this !
December 23, 2016 at 6:43 pm #100998mjb1124MemberI remember those free customizable RW jingles. There was a thread on them at the time, and actually the reception on this board was quite positive. I certainly had fun with them.
On the original subject, most of the stations I’ve heard here in the US still use Christmas jingles. Most of the iHeart AC stations (among others) use Reelworld Christmas cuts, including WLTW New York. WMGQ here in Central NJ has some cuts in their recent TM Brite AC custom. As far as JAM clients go, WOGL has cuts from A Touch of Christmas (I think) and JAM Christmas Collection, WCBS-FM still uses Holiday Pack after all these years, K104.7 Charlotte uses Christmas Kit and KOST holiday cuts, and KLUV has the Turbo Z Christmas cut.

December 27, 2016 at 2:50 am #101018jinglejoeMemberWCBS-FM has also been using the Christmas cuts produced by Tony Griffin Productions.
December 30, 2016 at 3:58 am #101025mjb1124MemberMainly only one cut they were using from TGP, along with the “Merry Christmas” and “Happy Holidays” cuts from Holiday Pack. I know they had an alternate TGP sing with “Wishing you a Happy Chanukah” – not sure if that was used at all this year.
March 4, 2017 at 10:54 am #101287enerjeeThe first festive jingle I ever heard was “Christmas Sunshine, Beacon 303” and the reversed “Sunshine Christmas” version.
