Anybody know if the Chiltern traffic bed… “de de de bub bub…” (god help us….!!!!) was part of an actual package or just a great MCPS bed. I know it was not part of Chiltern 5 and was used across both AM and FM networks but I have never heard it used anywhere else, not even in ads.
Anyone know any different please…

Thats a good question……..
We are talking about the Standard Sound (TM) Cut?
I’m sure it was part of the Package but a looped version?
Neal will know!November 21, 2005 at 7:37 pm #18394cp
It Must be. I’ve only ever known Chiltern to have used the one bed since about 91 and it was on all stations up until that day in September in 1995, although Horizon did have a different bed at the the end and 101 had a commercial bed for The Wales and West Ford Dealers on air around 94/95.

Do you mean this? It’s the only one that kinda resembles a “de de de bub bub” bed. If so, it’s cut 11 from TM’s Syncronism package.

No, it was more of pop-dance bed, with what sounds like a triangle being hit every 7 seconds or so through it.
Supergold used it too. It was normally 60″ long with a definite end. Used at the time when London Luton Airport sponsored 20-20 travel.

MemberThis is the one that I meant….. Edited Version
Swiped this back in 1990 and just found it in my box of unmarked cassettes!!
Sounds TM’ish to me!November 22, 2005 at 12:27 am #18406cp
Haven’t heard of that one.
I think it might have been on Phil England’s Supergold site at some point or at least the 30″ edit of it.

Nice one Pete, that’s the one… ahh the memories they come a flooding back.
Looks like its time to hunt through the TM site. Think I’ll give Dragonfly a crack, see if it’s lurking in one of those gems…
