Is the web player (listen live) broke? It’s currently not working for me.

Just been listening for about an hour and three-quarters. Couldn’t take any more!

80s stuff – interesting selection – BUT – only 2 “records” in that time at anything less than “breakneck pace”, and had
to wait over an hour for that. Was 80s music THAT relentless? OK, S-A-W were to blame for a lot of that I suppose.
Any clubbers at that disco would be dead beat from exhaustion!

To understand “pace, and tempo” (x-ref TM Productions…) and how to create seques that can flow, lift, then cool, then lift again, rather than just belt along the whole time, there’s an excellent book I read a few years ago
                https://www.amazon.co.uk/Last-Night-DJ-Saved-Life/dp/0802146104/ref=sr_1_4?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1464640786&sr=1-4&keywords=saved+my+life
                Well worth a read :^)

Not enough of the Cheesy jingles – too much too often of “that voice-over guy” (I won’t make any comment – x-ref Dig*t&l-S%y for that).

Still – its early days, and I’ll keep dipping in to the webstream :^)

Mike, if you use http://player.cheesy-fm.com that should work for you!

                  Yes, that works. Thanks.

(The previous link I’d bookmarked, “http://radioplayer.cheesy-fm.com/” was dead).

When I tried yesterday afternoon Iain they were playing Frank Sinatra!

Well, at least they’re trying to be a bit different, although the over-worn phrase “great songs that people love” always gives me the boak !
I’m also waiting for JMer “The Big Cheese” to come on with what he thinks :^)

What’s this about NEWER JAM re-sings Linden?

It definitely wasn’t *all* like that. In fact, I have the opposite issue with a lot of the ’80s-centric
Classic Hits stations here in the States – they’re too heavy on the “power ballads”, “yacht rock”, and whatnot. A little more tempo (and more jingles!) sounds refreshing to me.

I have to agree with you Iain…..I listened for a couple of hours this evening (6-8pm) on the CheesyFM App and it sounded like it was still in “Test Mode” No live presenter (not even voice tracked) and the Cheesy-ness seems to have been “diluted” since I last listened a couple of months ago (No 1970’s Cheesy songs?) All 80’s and a little 90’s music (some very “Heart-ish”)
Yes definitely not enough of the Jingles and far too much of “that voice-over guy”
I’ll give it another listen in a few months as well……

Excellent choice of tracks Linden – that’s a LOT of EnErGy !

There are still ‘rich pickings’ to be created from those incredible Z100 packages… :-)

Excellent Linden! JAM triumphs, once again…:) And Jon is very generous with the mixouts, so you can create some further interesting cuts yourself ;)
