wha? well, if I can admit this, a side of me is hoping that if this is true, it gets to somebody who has that same sort of quality that CBS has, live and local 24-7, didn’t see 1 syndicate show there, which I like, and hopefully jingle quality stays the same, especially classic hitters, like 3 certain jammers. Please to goodness I hope they don’t mess those up. sorry, just came out LOL, but, beesley, they’re a good choice, they got the same live and local quality down pat, but the jingle choices weren’t so good. I reeeeeeally hope IHeart doesn’t get it though, they’ll totally ruin it.

OK, as I googled it, CBS is planning to sell or spin the stations off, a red flag, but not a potential threat right now. once we get more insight on the matter, then I’ll be worried.

I understood CBS radio is being lead by a non radio guy who only looks at the numbers. Didn’t somebody in that billion dollar holding tell him that radio is slow business?

I really hope radio companies will split up again, which will rise local quality and individual sound.

The story (or otherwise) has been discussed on the New York radio boards for a few days now; full discussions can be linked from the initial post…
