Johnny V takes over from Chris Tarrant in april on Capital. Wise buddah have won the deal to do the breakfast show imaging (as reported in the radio mag)

Does anyone know if they are planning an overhaul of their main on air package? It doesn’t sound too great to me. For some reason the capital FM network of stations seem to have better produced cuts of the same package as capital.

CT leaving is a big change for the station, so it woul;d make sense to have a change of jingles.

Any thoughts?

I wouldn’t have thought they would change their biggest name presenter and re-image the whole station at the same time – listeners might feel completely abandoned and try something else.

I would be more interested in what the competition is about to do to exploit the situation……………..

While I am not sure about JV lets face it Capital have hardly got much to worry about nearest station Heart 106.2 has Johno who is like a DJ on remote control

3 mins latter and out he comes with another orignal line “its err heart 106.2 johno and the morning crew ” and so on for the next 3 hours!

one thing for sure you could never forget that you are listining to heart106.2 the amount of times he says this you would think he was on bonus! or is it that he lacks any real personality ! (Wonder why chris evens got rid of him when he was in charge at virgin)

As for the fortune the station spent on the new jingles for him that was a waste of money I think I have only heard 1 of them.

Does anyone know where i can get the latest capital jingles from eg the chris tarrant in the morning ones i know groovejingles site has them but you cannot download them.
