Neal posted a montage of BRMB's launch package here earlier on today.
Here's a montage of their new jingles from Wise Buddah that went on air today.

September 2, 2008 at 8:49 pm #61683rickiI was driving through Birmingham tonight and the new package sounds great ON AIR
Well done Wise Buddah – Deffo purchase for any CHR Station.
September 2, 2008 at 10:59 pm #61688mumossI may be in a minority on this one… but I'm getting sick of being bored by pretty much every new jingle package I hear. This just sounds bland to me, I'm afraid!
The last packages I liked were Radio Scilly's, and most of Brandy's output – which I think is *excellent*, and really captures the feeling of today's pop music, with beautiful production values. I really wish a UK station would buy the 'Q is Good For You' packages.

I am really into WB stuff at the moment and really like this BRMB pack.
I totally understand what John means, but I just think WB sound a little fresher and a little more contemporary, compared to people such as Music4 which I think has really lost it's touch lately. Will save my dissappointment over the Radio City pack for the appropriate thread !

September 3, 2008 at 12:47 pm #61695freq-kyIt's a reasonable package with a hint of Reelworld influence in my opinion (Didn't know about and never the BFBS package until now so many thanks).Better than the Music 4 stuff and at least now travelling to brum will be a bit of fun again.
If only this was on air earlier this year.September 7, 2008 at 2:13 pm #61766MartinSI've been addicted to Wise Buddah since the second set of jingles for Radio Aire, however I have to say these are something quite different. It's great to hear the more extreme styles here, which really do well reflect the range of style of current hit music in the UK. They make the second set of Radio Aire 'contemporary cuts' IDs seem quite conservative in comparsion.
It's great to hear the sung 'Birminghams' too. Adding a geographical element to the jingles/imaging should be important for local radio in order add a unique rubber stamp to otherwise bland and generic straplines. Granted, BRMB covers more than Birmigham, e.g Solihull and Dudley. However Birmingham is where it comes from and is the main hub of the area covered by the station, which can probably be all regarded as 'Greater Birmingham' anyway. So, well done BRMB for re-introducing some local element in the jingles.
I agree with Freq-ky regarding the 'hint of Reelword'. There's definately some similarity to Hallam FM custom package, however perhaps I'm hearing this more because of the similar logo.
It seems rather early to replace the Music4 package from last year? However these are far better and less generic sounding. Although syndicated, however clearly coming from a package that hasn't been written musically to fit 30+ stations.
Thanks Paul/Neal for posting a link to the audio.

wonder how brmb is going to develop after they are sold off by global radio….I think it will be good for the west midlands, as they will be able to develop further with beacon becoming more local again.
thank you
