Let see I used several of these dick Hamilton cuts on the radio. Working at wvbf I often played the jingle called klubedda into a moody blues cut. And soul mubbles and Marvin Gaye a marriage in seque heaven. I used time whenever we had an oldies weekend at the orginal wrmf am and fm. The Indy rain song has the thing on the end because a tymp then would follow with a Craig Hudson voice over saying crirca Q 1972 this is the 50 000 watt voice of Indianapolis wibc followed by the news sounder from that 1971 wibc jingle package from heller. The main reason Fairbanks communications used heller was the did not sound like Dallas. And yes bet you didn’t know that the sound of reel people on the kvil 76 package was from the message to Dallas heller jingle package. That’s what it says on the master. And Jon has it all wrong about the why and how you would use these on the air from a programming standpoint. I was both a production director and program director for Fairbanks working in Boston Florida and Philly. Btw Hamilton fans he did great air talent show opens like Gary Todd and orly Knutson for wibc..

The KDKA Joel Zelle is a classic have not heard that in years. Joel went onto to fame in Detroit at WJR..The Lollipops song is Hamilton with his kids doing the singing.

But my ISP is useless for accessing just about anything from “inside”! Not just “mac-stuff”!

No problems with Firefox 27.0.1 or Chrome 33.0.1750.146 (using Windows XP).

‘Energy’ by Imagineers
And a question: who the hell are Imagineers?

I think I got you an answer to THAT question!
March 18, 2014 at 2:18 pm #93766SeanMartinVocals sound almost Anita Kerr-ish . . . .
March 18, 2014 at 4:51 pm #93767glenThat’s what they used to call the people that drew cartoons aka Bus Bunny.
March 18, 2014 at 7:38 pm #93773mjb1124MemberPardon me if I’m stating the obvious, but I doubt this package was actually used on or commissioned by WABC. The DJ heard on the demo is definitely fake. Most likely they just used the WABC calls to grab people’s attention. No idea who Imagineers are – doesn’t sound a Dallas company to me.
March 18, 2014 at 8:07 pm #93775kolossMemberThis is kind of interesting – the jingles are awful but the DJ is John Records Landecker (WLS 1972-81)
March 18, 2014 at 8:11 pm #93776mjb1124MemberInteresting… didn’t recognize him, just thought it was a parody. That does seem to give this the possibility of having a legitimate ABC connection. Maybe this was a Chicago-based outfit?
March 19, 2014 at 1:36 am #93778Tracy CarmanMemberThe company was Chicago based and never sold a syndicated version of the package. I’m sure Mr. Dinan will update his blog eventually to reflect the rest of the story.
March 19, 2014 at 7:21 pm #93787ratnobMemberAuthorGreetings, funsters.
Take a look at the Facebook comments to get the story of this ‘Imagineers’ package:

My sodding ISP always refuses to play your audio stuff – so I usually go “around the houses” and play them via F/fox. But this latest one refuses to play due to “my” copy of Q-T “being out-of-date”.
A bit of “backwards compatibility” needed!
Or just an “alternate” MP3 version for NON-Mac users perhaps please?

Iain, can you update QuickTime?

The latest version is 7.7.5.Everything works OK with Firefox 28.0 here.
Here’s the Yeah Yeah Yeah link to the mp3:
