      Having worked with the amazing Steve England at Moorlands Radio for a few years – this was such an unexpected surprise for my wife’s birthday (who is not a jingle fan – but has been subjected to years of my obsession and she appreciates the craft!!) So she really loved this audio from Steve and Simon on her 30th birthday! I won’t embarrass my wife by saying when this was, but this was a couple of years ago! lol

      However, I am jealous, as I don’t have a birthday jingle; but I love this one!!

          I got (the late) Ben Freedman to provide a Dallas Singers shout and a Ken Justiss sung sonovox for my daughter’s18th birthday
          as part of a bundle of bits and bobs for myself and another JMer.

          Ben never actually charged anything for them.

            Ben was “allright”–gave me a pretty good “deal” on “The Instant Radio Station” & lots of “Demos” (GwinSound, primarily)

              ” Ben was “allright” “

              He gave me all the “session stuff” of him and Ken J – the lot – absolutely daft the pair of them;
              plenty of it “not quite for broadcast”. And all of him “explaining” what just about every cut was.

              Also, he did a very very strange “mis-understanding” of the pronunciation guidelines provided;
              rather than just that of names (e.g. mine), he decided somehow that just about everything
              had to be pronounced/enunciated in a sort-of “Brigadoon”-style “Scottish accent” instead of “Dallas”.
              Utterly bizarre – and meant that a lot of what they did (e,g, Ken’s famous “using five effects for every
              sonovox line”) was utterly binnable.

                Laughed out loud at that. Beautifully expressed, Mr J.

                  “Brigadoon” sonovox – hence why I keep ’em VERY “embargoed” Geoff !
                  :^)
