Great to see JAM’s wonderful ‘Best Show’ package now on their website in a cut-by-cut format:

November 16, 2016 at 8:38 pm #100863DuncanNewmarchMemberI love Warp Factor and KZZP but surely this is the perfect package. That logo melody, a range of styles and a splatter of fun/creative ideas. “And the winner is…”

It would have been great it the original demo/cuts had been mixed/updated to Stereo.November 17, 2016 at 6:03 pm #100866pvankleiMemberAnyone know who wrote the package? One of my absolute faves.
Bruce Upchurch told me years ago that he had written some cuts / songs for the JAM Best Show package.
I don’t know if he wrote all the cuts, but possibly it was a mix of multiple composers since it was a big package (Best Show 1 and 2) with a lot of different cuts.Peter

November 18, 2016 at 10:32 am #100869LenGroatOf course I LOVE this package plus the other ones for KIMN from this era of JAM’s creativity. When I was ordering cuts for Trent and GEM back in the late 80s early 90s I was fortunate to have a large budget AND sit-in the booth at JAM as they were sung

And in 2013 Jon kindly dug out the masters of this cut – so we had the original solos by Abby & Chris, and a new end for SGGAM

I have been ribbed over the years for the lyric “Christmas is here, there’s lights on the tree, but you mean more than the presents to me…” but to me it makes this a timeless jingle, and it’s survived for decades now when most of the 4 second “Merry Christmas ~ call letters’ cuts have ‘bit the dust’ – or should that be snow
November 18, 2016 at 10:49 am #100870IainJohnstonStill one of the classiest ever MOR-orientated JAM packages that epitomises the quality of their sound & production,
and as Len says, “timeless”.And a package that’s been chosen so often for Personal Cuts by many of us on here :^)
November 18, 2016 at 10:15 pm #100872SpoonsBrilliant package.
Len, I remember hearing the Christmas cut on Trent when it was actually used on air. It’s only now that I can admit that for years I thought the lyric was ‘Christmas is here, hymns, lights on the tree’. Haha.
