Hi Everyone! I just found this forum this afternoon, in fact this is my first post. Feel free to stop by my website and take a listen. I look forward to being a member here and sharing a few stories and making some new friends.
June 29, 2007 at 8:56 am #31058IainJohnstonMemberVery well-made Website Linwood…
But NOT really a “Radio ID Jingle Collector” enthusiast item, is it?

June 29, 2007 at 3:26 pm #31068Good Time OldieHi Linwood
Fairly new here myself, don't worry, they are a happy friendly bunch really HONEST!
Perhaps you would consider producing “Radio IDs” in the future, and we could hear some examples in the “Music Imaging / Current Jingle Scene” section.
You should also bear in mind, what you call “jingles” we actually view as commercials over here. having said that, really like the vocals on the “Rattlesnake Ranch Cafe, that guy has some great pipes.'
Once again a warm welcome to jinglemad.com
June 29, 2007 at 4:18 pm #31071linwoodThanks. To be honest, I've written/produced lots of ID's for companies you are familiar with. Most of them “farm things out” to people such as myself. It's not done in house, in a lot of cases. I was interested in this site just to come and listen and hear what other producers are doing by listening to the posts here. I'm not trying to do business with anyone. And on my side of the tracks…..what you're talking are Id's, not jingles. Go figure………

No offense was intended Linwood!
This forum does often see people coming on solely to try and sell things
rather than share what is actually a hobby – the collecting of “Radio ID
Jingles” such as PAMS, JAM, TM Productions, Reelworld, etc material
on a strictly non-commercial not-for-private-gain “enthusiasts” basis. The Site is also in Britain, so perhaps the meaning of “Jingles” to us is
indeed not quite the same as to yourself in your business! Please browse around the Forum, or listen to the audio – perhaps you
might find yourself addicted to our weird & wonderful hobby too!Best Regards
Wixy1360June 29, 2007 at 9:09 pm #31079linwoodNo offence taken. Seriously. The type of work that I do in radio and as much of it as I do, gives you pretty thick skin. Having done station Id's, I find it kind of fascinating that folks actually like them so much as to want to collect them. As a composer/producer of id's and of the type of retail jingles that I do (as a producer, id's don't pay me as much as retail jing, so I tend to stay there, but that's another thread…) I'm only attached to it until I do the next one, which is that afternoon or tomorrow. I thought that many of the members would be people such as myself, I guess maybe not.
I have snooped around, listened and have been enjoying the site. Nice work, jinglemad!
I do love radio. it all started when I was maybe 10, listening to Cousin Brucey on my crystal rocket radio hoping to hear the beatles. Never shook it.
