There is a Jingle Inventory for Radio One that has been about for a while now.
I thought it was about time we had a go at doing a Radio Two – Jingle Inventory.
BBC Radio Two – Jingle Inventory
1967 – PAMS – Series 1
1970 – PAMS – Series 2
1976 – JAM – The ‘C’ Series
1978 – JAM – The ‘D’ Series
1980 – JAM
1982 – JAM
1984 – JAM
1986 – JAM – Composite
1992 – JAM – Its All For You (Custom)
1993 – JAM – Add-Ons
1994 – JAM – Its All For You At Christmas (Custom)
1997 – JAM – French Add-On Jingles
1997 – JAM – Add-On Cuts
1997 – Groove Addicts – Custom
2003 – Groove Addicts – Custom**All of the dates above are approx.**

May 24, 2004 at 9:11 pm #13435RobinBlamiresThere is of course the 1990 package which included the FM cuts of which the in house presentation was uploaded here a few weeks ago.
If anyone wants to hear it again please let me know.
May 24, 2004 at 9:46 pm #13436mbMemberI think you’ve set yourself a really big task cos 1. if it only covers full packages its incomplete or 2. if it covers add ons and one offs its going to get long.
Best person to help with this is Mr Schiller but heres my addition:-

R2 had so many small add-ons over the years even I can’t remember them all. For example the Alan Dedicoat Nightride jingle was actually fully re-sung whereas for other announcers they just got an accapella which was added to the end of the generic jingle. Add to that things like Olympic Games, Railshow, National Music Day, Beatles Day, Pick of The Hits, Sport on 2, Christmas, Children In Need, Crimecheck and it really is a long job. Mr Wolfert is probably the only person who could come up with a proper list as the people at R2 have changed over the years.
May 26, 2004 at 6:15 pm #13439khow63Nicky is right. I drew up a list recently of what I have and in total, it came to about 50 different reels, and thats only the Jam material, but im certain there were a lot more and I don’t think Radio 2 even drew up their own “official” list of everything. The ones that spring to my mind are Radio goes to town, hotline to Hunniford, BBC radio show, to name just a few.

So do you have this list in a format that you can post?

Geeze… I was listing to JAM’s Magic Music earlier today for Radio 2. I don’t see it listed here.

I don’t Ben. Once I eventually produce a website, it will probably end up on there.
June 1, 2004 at 9:07 pm #13491GrahamCollinsDon’t forget the PAMS BBC Radio 2 1972 and 1974 stereo custom packages.
June 2, 2004 at 7:23 am #13497JingleMadMemberAuthorDid Radio 2 ever air any cuts/packages from the Audio Producers or was that only Radio 1 that did?
June 2, 2004 at 8:01 am #13498UKJinglesMemberI believe the only AUDIO PRODUCERS Jingle that ever made it to Radio Two was the Jimmy Young Jingle produced when he moved to Radio Two….
A bad edit if I remember rightly with Radio Two replacing the words Radio One! 😳June 2, 2004 at 8:04 am #13499JingleMadMemberAuthorpetewilson wrote: I believe the only AUDIO PRODUCERS Jingle that ever made it to Radio Two was the Jimmy Young Jingle produced when he moved to Radio Two….

June 2, 2004 at 8:27 pm #13503khow63I always found it strange that Jam only supplied DJ acca’s from the R2 84 package, four months later on a separate reel in Jan 85!
Talking about jingle edits, can anyone remember ‘The New Top 40’ jingle R1 edited together, using a combination of the new top 30 sing, and the number 40 sing from the 78 package before jam actually did the full re-sing of Logoset #7?

The Radio One version on the AUDIO PRODUCERS Demo/Package and I’ve heard the Radio Two version on one of my old “Off-Air” Recordings cassettes!
June 4, 2004 at 8:18 am #13517JingleMadMemberAuthorSo when were the last JAM cuts produced for Radio 2?
July 20, 2004 at 6:34 pm #13668ttesteveThere are a couple of references at the top of this topic to a Radio One jingle inventory list.
Does anyone have a copy of this that they could post up or PM me?
Thanks in advance!
