I’m wondering if anyone can help me locate a download site which has jingles for BBC radio Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham and Sheffield. I need to obtain these for a jingle package for an edit for a local television programme.

Which era are you looking for ?

I’ve got lots of Radio Sheffield cuts (the earliest go back to 1981 should you need them),the GMR demo from 1991,The Radio Leeds package from around the same time plus their TM and IQ Beats stuff and a couple of Radio Nottingham packages from the 1990’s….

Ooh! So excited I’ve taken off my anorak and put on my duffel coat with a big furry hood! Dave, if you’ve got the Sue Manning package (2 Way Radio) which I THINK is the 1981 package for Radio Sheffield, I’d LOVE a copy! I started working there (as a 12 year old on the community access show ROTT) just before they ditched those jingles for the David Arnold “There’s a Sparkle in the Air” package. And in case anyone’s ever heard the LBS demo for Radio Sheffield, that originally came from me… I managed to dub off a copy that they chucked in the bin, and it’s still doing the rounds, around 19 years later!

Sorry for impeding on your space Jon, but anorak needs must! In the meantime, I’ll dig out any packages I have for Leeds, Manchester, York and Sheffield and stick ’em in the downloads section.
