Yes I did not belive my ears this morning after years of putting extra fx bits to transform their generic into christmas sounding jingles – they have actually comissioned proper Xmas cuts – Chris Evans unveiled them this morning – yes from Wise Buddah

both Pop and traditional cuts are beautiful. There are variations of each of the cuts with stunning elements.

There are only two cuts just different mixes

Yes there are TWO cuts on the WB site:

A medium tempo based on ‘I wish it could be Christmas every day” with saxophone and end female vocal..

…and a ‘serious’ Christmas one with ‘angelic choir harmonies’ in the mix – but no vocals.

I was expecting more … but these are good I do wonder where the choral theme fits in that well in the schedule, I know R2 cater for all (almost) but hearing Steve Wright attempt to ‘hot-jock’ off the back of a short version of the “ahhh ahhh ahhhhhh” cut it just struck me that particular cut was as out of place as the other classical themes R2 had WB create … Love the bouncy, ho ho ho of the pop cut however, but mixes of this will be played to death this season surely ? R2 comissioned more versioned cuts for Eurovision !
