      Good Evening All
Well its been a while since I uploaded anything, been busy still extracting what I can from tape. I’ve noticed I’ve been posting a lot of jingle montages and the odd clip from back in the day, so I thought why not create a “Link montage” consisting of links, trails, jingles and whatever else I could find. Instead of dropping single links lets combine them like we would a jingle montages. I have a feeling I will have a few others to make as I delve through all my cassette tapes from the mid 90s. This one being the first features Steve Wright in breakfast and afternoon form, Nicky Campbell, Steve and Bruno plus lots more! I hope you like it, will have another to make soon no doubt.
      Hope your all keeping well.
I have done my best with the volume, I have ramped up and lowered it on some clips, no thanks to my old stereo system back in the day, sorry if some parts are a bit too loud.

Well, I’ve spent another couple of weeks going through some old tapes and managed to compile another, Link Montage. Here is #2 which includes Steve Wright, Simon Mayo, a snipey Johnny Walker and Lyn Parsons plus more!

When I first got into Radio 1, I was obessed with, Simon Mayo on breakfast, I was in primary school at the time so very young. And i seem to have a lot of recordings from Breakfast, so if this is something you enjoy listening too, i may need to make a Simon Mayo Breakfast, Link Montage as I’m collecting a lot of clips lol.

Anyway I hope you enjoy Link Montage #2, if so i will get on the case in making another soon.

This is pretty much where my love for Radio 1 started. I was given a record, twin tape and radio HIFI as a child, maybe 10 or 11 ish. And I found myself listening to, Simon Mayo on 1FM Breakfast, I loved his show, so much so most people recorded the songs played but instead I was recording each link up until I had to leave for school.
Well this obsession grew and I found myself recording as much as I could of 1FM while all my friends were playing kirby outside I would be in my bedroom recording out news jingles, links, trails and also doing my damn best radio 1 bedroom shows lol.
The sound quality on these are poor, for which I’m sorry. That first HIFI system I got wasn’t the best lol.

Here you will hear links from the Simon Mayo Breakfast show with, Rod McKenzie, the late Diane Oxberry and Lyn Parsons who stepped in when Diane was away.

Simon Mayo and Steve Wright will always be my Radio hero’s!

          I hope you enjoy.
