Around 1971, PAMS RE-cut “Funn Bruce Morrow” for”Cousin” Brucie (of WABC)–who had been having an “identity crisis” & was referring to himself as “Cousin Bruce” or “Bruce Morrow”–thus the re-cut jingle. I KNOW the ORIGINAL “Funn Cousin Brucie” (sono) was in PAMS Series #33–my question is what PAMS Series is the (re-cut) “Funnn Bruce Morrow” (sono)?
      Thanks In Advance,

        perhaps?
it was simply a ‘special’ or custom quickie. there was a ton of stuff made for abc that never was put in a demo.
keep in mind, a sono cut was wicked fast to throw together (even in those analog/tape days) and cheap to produce.

what you need to do is hook up with an old wabc employee that copied off ALL that special stuff. the air versions were a lot hotter than the bland demos.

As I mentioned in my opening post, Bob–it WAS an “add”–as the original “Funn___Jock name sonos” were in Series 33 (circa 1967). This “add” was in the early 70’s. The ONLY person I can think of who MIGHT have a “clue” would be Jon Wolfert–being bOTH a WABC “fan” & a PAMS employee at that time—and I suspect he’s a bit “busy” running PAMS/JAM–and quite frankly, while this is semi-important to me (as someone who would like to catalogue his collections), I sincerely doubt that Jon would have the time to “research” this–ergo why I entitled the post “Another Question for PAMS Jingle Experts”…:)

You know, it never hurts to ask because you never know.

I would simply catalog it as Series 33, because that’s where the jingle is from. It’s just a syndicated re-sing (or in this case, re-sono’d) version of a jingle from an older existing package. It’s not part of any “new” series. Just like if we sing a Series 18 jingle for “The Leibo Time Machine” it’s still from Series 18.

Understood that it’s a Series 33 Jingle–but since it was released years later, those with the original series 33 (like myself) wouldn’t find it on their copy–I guess what I’m asking then is WHEN was it recorded…?

                WHEN was it recorded…?

Unlike JAM, PAMS did not keep very good records of what was recorded when. And even if they had, those records are long gone because no one gave them the care they deserved back in 1978. From my personal memory, I think those “Bruce Morrow” cuts appeared on the station in 1970. I can only back this up with airchecks from the period. Sorry.

No problem–perhaps I can “jog” your memory since you were “there”…:) — it was around the time the “Cousin Bruce Morrow” acapella appeared in Series 42. …..
