Angel Radio is a community station that plays pre-1960’s music and is aimed at an audience more or less neglected by mainstream radio. They have been serving the Havant area (in Hampshire) on 101.1MHz for many years now. Last year they were awarded a new community radio licence for Portsmouth with a new hilltop transmitter site and frequency (89.3MHz) which will continue to cover their original patch as well as the city of Portsmouth and surrounding areas.

They have had some new PAMS resings sung with their new frequency. If I get a chance, I’ll record some of their test tx audio before go live on Feb 1st and montage up the jingles.

Thanks also! It’ll be interesting what comes out of Greenbank Road with their new singers, along with Mr Butler, singing to PAMS and JAM

Apologies for the rather scratchy audio. I can’t quite get a clean signal at home, still it is in keeping with the 78s they often play :)

Their spin-off DAB station “60s” has also got PAMS/UK resings…

Incidentally; Coast & County in North Yorkshire are also featuring some PAMS/UK resings.

                Thanks for posting, Gents

Haven’t heard that Smart Set long “pre-record” in donkey’s years!
And nice to hear Mr England on sonovox :^)
