Following lockdown and everything else we’re having to deal with globally; AJ has recently re-opened and had a vocal session 2 weeks ago – I understand there were quite a lot of jingles sung!
Anyone on here had any? …..and happy to share?
May 18, 2021 at 6:43 pm #106107m_hodgeyMemberThey sound gr-r-reat Tony; just hope the ones I’ve ordered from AJ turn out as good!
I will post an updated montage of all my AJ re-sings here once the new ones have arrived.
May 19, 2021 at 12:39 am #106108Steve JenkinsonMemberGreat selection Tony. Love the long musical cut especially! Well done young man …….
May 19, 2021 at 8:30 pm #106109bigchrisbatsonMemberHere you go then, Tony. The last 2 of these are the most recent ones. As you know, AJ’s work is always great quality and great value!

May 22, 2021 at 1:55 am #106113mjb1124MemberI’m only just starting to familiarize myself with AJ’s work, but everything I’ve heard has been great, including the cuts posted here!
May 24, 2021 at 5:06 pm #106123johnquincyMemberAJ would probably sell a lot more jingles if he had a website with demos, pricing and contact info.
May 25, 2021 at 7:56 pm #106126m_hodgeyMemberAs promised earlier, here’s a montage of all my AJ Classic Re-sings, including my latest cuts sung a few weeks ago (from 0:50 onwards in the video):
It was a pleasure to work with AJ again.
June 11, 2021 at 12:02 pm #106159m_hodgeyMemberAJ has posted a montage of some of the latest Classic Re-Sesings from his May 2021 sessions, including cuts for a few JingleMad members:

His next session is at the end of July and details of how to order are contained within the SoundCloud link.
June 12, 2021 at 3:10 am #106160WAVAMemberNot digging these.
Will stay with JAM for personal cuts.June 12, 2021 at 1:34 pm #106161Tony MullinsMemberAuthorm_hodgey;c-75554 wrote:AJ has posted a montage of some of the latest Classic Re-Sesings from his May 2021 sessions, including cuts for a few JingleMad members:https://soundcloud.com/user-714178636/aj-classic-jingles-summer-2021-client-montage

Love these!
June 12, 2021 at 3:50 pm #106162nleiboThe ONLY “cut” that I found to be SOMEWHAT “entertaining” was the “Martin Lester” cut @ 1:39–
June 12, 2021 at 5:26 pm #106163radiocitybillMemberI ran across his SC demos some time ago but there’s no info on rates. Anybody know what he/they charge?

Thanks I will take that as a complement !
June 12, 2021 at 5:50 pm #106165nleiboI just “call ’em” as I “see (or hear) ’em”…
June 12, 2021 at 7:02 pm #106166ApolloI thought they sounded fine.
I think already being familiar with a jingle might make someone lean more towards JAM.
I don’t know the price, but for me having a jingle that is new is better.June 13, 2021 at 12:07 am #106167ApolloI listened to both ‘demos’ on Soundcloud and they sounded even better than the above montage. Unlike what I hear from most jingle companies today, there were a lot of vocal and technical things I wasn’t expecting.

Perhaps but how do you explain my “appreciation”for the Martin Lester cut?
I liken this to the FIRST time I heard JAM on WABC–the jingles were DECIDEDLY DIFFERENT from the PAMS/PAMS “Knockoffs” that WABC was using as a”placeholder”of sorts. I WILL Say that Jingle lyric “creativity” has suffered since the early 70’s–but that’s a “failing”of the Radio Stations. “It all started when Simon Williams became Wonderman”–(Oops– wrong “contamination” theory–apologies to Thanos & Marvel Comics)…June 13, 2021 at 8:25 pm #106169ApolloNliebo, since you asked me a question, I will answer you. I was not referring to you or anyone in particular. There are other opinions on this thread similar to yours.
People in general will go with what they know. That’s human nature. That was my point. No one said that you cant like other jingles.
As far as creativity, even radio stations have to have something to work with. At least there was creativity in these cuts.
Regarding Martin Lester’s cut, here is my opinion:
You said Martin Lester’s was the ‘Only “cut”‘ you found ‘SOMEWHAT entertaining.’ I don’t think that’s a compliment. What does that say about the other people’s cuts on this montage?
Generally speaking, this is the second thread in the past few weeks involving some sort of criticism of people’s personal cuts.
Admittedly, people run the risk of hearing criticism when they post them.
Even though everyone has a right to their opinion, people pay a lot of money for these cuts. I think very few people want to hear criticism when they post their cuts hoping the listeners will enjoy them. After all they probably wouldn’t have posted them in the first place if they didn’t like them.
I think personal cuts should be off-limits.
If the purchaser likes it, that’s all that matters.June 14, 2021 at 6:47 pm #106171bigchrisbatsonMemberWell, I think my Cuts sound good. And that’s really all that matters
June 14, 2021 at 7:26 pm #106172rakMemberbigchrisbatson;c-75566 wrote:Well, I think my Cuts sound good. And that’s really all that mattersIndeed, and the whole point of getting these cuts resung is to have a little bit of Steve Wright in the Afternoon/Morning, Power FM, Q101, City FM etc for yourself. People who buy JAM personal cuts are also buying stuff they grew up with and remmeber. I don’t imagine many people buy obscure personal cuts to play to friends. They’ll want cuts that non-jingle anorak people might know.
June 15, 2021 at 8:17 am #106176IainJohnstonI’ve never yet found an AJ cut that would I feel would adapt to “fit my name” melodically/emphasis unfortunately
– but I still class the “sound” of AJ’s material as one of the most instantly recognisable and distinctive “jingle styles”
anywhere – and I’m quite happy to still have dubs of some of those “classic ILR” station packages in my collection!
March 30, 2022 at 3:52 am #107418AJMusicProductionsHi everyone, hope you are all well
In this next month of April, we’re excited to be having another AJ classic re-sings session of personal cuts.
In other exciting news, we have been listening to you and your comments about listing prices and so a newly built website will be available with all the old and new stuff, full pricing lists and an easy form to fill an order direct from the site, so much easier for everyone!! That site should be up by the summer.
