Have just found the cut below on one of my off air tapes, is is just me or have I heard this cut sung for Steve Wright and also City FM?

Anyone know of any other stations that maybe had this cut sung?
Thanks
Dave
February 12, 2006 at 1:19 am #19584AJ-NYCThanks for the interest. Actually that was only done for Spire and City Fm as far as I remember, but it was BASED on an early Steve Wright cut. When a client says “I really like that Steve Wright cut, but I know I can’t have it…blah blah etc” then often we’d have to make something that sounded similar. The original that it was based on was “Across the nation, the UK’s favourite, in the afternoon (Steve Wright) Radio One”
And that’s that!

February 12, 2006 at 2:03 am #19585dav123Thanks, AJ-NYC.
Your material is superb, and made me first get interested in jingles to start off with, when I first heard the Spire FM jingles.
I also met Andrew White at Spire FM, was he involved with AJ Productions at all AJ? he is a really great guy. and he helped me out alot regards radio presenting and radio production. but that was quite along time ago! – just wish I could have got a copy of the excellent package AJ Productions produced for Spire FM.
Dave.

All we all have to do now is persaude AJ to release a CD of all his old UK stuff … I’m sure there’s enough of us on here who would buy itFebruary 12, 2006 at 12:07 pm #19587gameswizardMemberdav123 wrote: Have just found the cut below on one of my off air tapes, is is just me or have I heard this cut sung for Steve Wright and also City FM?

February 13, 2006 at 9:00 am #19595AJ-NYCThanks Dave for the nice comments. Yes you’re right, Andrew was a partner in AJ Productions and we both did a lot of great work together. He is now running his own company making more great things. He is definitely is one of the nicest guys out there and certainly helped me in a few difficult situations…he also makes great cocktails!
Andrew is probably the one who has a copy of the first Spire FM Idents, becuase as far as I know I do not! However, I know that we did a second batch of stuff which I do have and when I have time (!!!) I will post them in a general mix sampler on my site. The next thing I will post there in about 1 weeks time is the new material we’ve just completed for..guess who?? yes..Steve Wright. This new stuff is all mainly live instruments, Horns, Strings, drums, bass, percussion etc, which I have actually not done for Steve for about 10 years.
As for the big question about a CD of S.Wright stuff, well obviously I have plenty of material, in fact 20 years worth. The problem is mainly administrative, the admin team that works for me is concentrating on our Song placement and publishing side, but it really is a goal to get it done and out to you all.
Thanks again
AJ
February 13, 2006 at 11:05 am #19596dav123Thank you AJ for the information. You and Andrew White, certainley did some superb work! it was excellent. Never tryed one of his cocktails though!
Really looking forward to hearing the general mix sampler on your site, when its up. Also the new Steve Wright material sounds interesting. Sure it will sound great as always!
The CD that would be great but i’m sure everyone knows that you are no doubt really busy, creating more fantastic material, but would be great one day to hear all of this material.
I would just like to say a huge thank you to AJ, for having the time to help out with all of this information.
Many Thanks, and keep up all of your great work. Your material is fantastic.

February 13, 2006 at 12:55 pm #19599gameswizardMemberAJ, what we want to hear on your site is the early steve wright jingles from the 80’s.if you can put all the recent steve stuff online, put the old steve stuff there aswell.
February 13, 2006 at 2:22 pm #19601dav123OK, then here goes my first montage – its off air cuts of Spire FM from AJ Productions which I have quickly put together.
Sorry for some of the audio quality in some of the cuts, as they were recorded back sometime ago on tape, if only I had a minidisc player/recorder back then!

I Hope you enjoy it,
Thanks,

February 13, 2006 at 8:12 pm #19602dav123Sorry, that was the wrong link for the montage, have now edited the above post, with the correct link!
Hope you all like it!
February 13, 2006 at 11:18 pm #19603chad123sorry but it still wont work
February 13, 2006 at 11:36 pm #19604UKJinglesMemberUnfortunately (as I mentioned a few months ago) RapidShare is one of those naff “File Sharing” Servers……..
The only way you will get it to work properly is to pay out for a “Premium Account”
Stick with YouSendIt…at least you have far better odds of downloading the files then the above scam!February 13, 2006 at 11:49 pm #19605gameswizardMemberi got to agree with pete, rapidshare is rubbish if you dont pay.
it sort of used to work ok for free, but now it’s cr*p (sorry rapidshare).February 14, 2006 at 12:18 am #19606dav123The only reason I have used rapidshare is because it seemed to me to be the only file sharing website I could get on with! as I don’t have any webspace at the moment, as I am quite new to the internet! but am learning as I go along!
I stayed away from you send it files, because of reading the’Sticky’ that Neal posted at the top of the download forum:
This is the new forum to post your audio! Whether it’s single cuts, complete packages, airchecks, or whatever. This is where it goes.
For those that have webspace, feel free to share your links in this forum (no Yousend it.com links though, please).
If you have any questions, we are a short PM away…
Neal
Any advice anyone has about how to post audio is more than welcome, as I don’t have any webspace at the moment, and rapidshare just seemed to be the easiest option for sharing audio on jinglemad!
Thanks,
Dave
February 14, 2006 at 12:42 pm #19608gameswizardMemberi got a little bit of geocities webspace and 100MB yahoo briefcase.i can post links to material i upload to it but only a few people an hour can download it.so people then assume the links aint working,so i dont use that anymore now.
i generally upload stuff to jinglemad.but it takes them so long to put new stuff online (my last stuff i uploaded was well over a week before it appeared-and then they didnt even put one of my montages online for some reason).
but one time last year i uploaded something just before midnight one evening and it appeared online within about 15 mins-i nearly fell over cos they did it so quick 😆February 14, 2006 at 1:46 pm #19611dav123OK, thanks gameswizard, I will have to look into it abit more and try to find a more suitable service.
In the meantime I will try Rapidshare again to upload anything I have got to post, to see if I get anymore joy!
If anyone is having any trouble trying to download anything I have posted and would like to hear it, please just get in contact via PM and I will email the material to you.
Thanks,
Dave
