I wonder whats happening – are they going to make availble every jingle they ever produced? What its almost 10 months now, we have seen the web-site reconstruction logo!
I personally would setTle for every Steve Wright cut by cut LOL
September 20, 2009 at 9:56 am #70083fredgreekI do wonder why they need a re-construction logo, what is wrong with leaving up the old site whilst they construct the new site?
I want to know what they mean by “will be back very shortly bigger and better”; cut by cut format seems to be what other companies go for a lot, and to me that would make the most sense to justify a site re-design.

Yes you're right. It is probably the longest website “Re-Build Ever”. Problem is this: At the moment I'm really focused on Music Candy, which is our production music library and we're just about to launch the new download site within it. This has taken the programmers about 3 months to complete as it's quite complex stuff. So that is a major issue. Even when you're paying web designers good money to make or alter your site for you, it seems to take forever. I have very little knowledge of the coding side, but the design of a website is the most interesting and creative part for me. So we go back and forth until it gets to the point of having to scream at them to finish it.
Anyway, the Ident/jingle side of me does want to put everything up for all to hear, but I guess that as I do very little for other stations now apart from you know who, it leaves little time, because of the Music Candy web stuff, for me to magically create the jingle site the way I'd like it. But I have plans to do it, yes Bigger & Better as it says!
Finally, I have been working on Steve's new theme which includes many mixes and versions along with new Idents and beds which will be on the air around mid October. He is playing a “temp mix” of the new theme already. If the jingle site isn't showing any sign of being on the way by then, I'll post them as an MP3 link on here.
Oh and we have new girls singing in the group sung indents for Steve and they are New York's finest.
Thanks for your interest as always.
AJ
P.S. Thanks David for that. I rarely get to sing “Bollox” anymore!!September 22, 2009 at 8:45 am #70116BarrasHa ! nice one Anthony, wouldn`t get away with that “B” word jingle on the BBC anyway, not unless it was on BBC Radio 4 !
Anyway, thanks very much for replying to upsweep`s query AJ and don`t forget that STEVE WRIGHT JINGLE CD you promised us jingle collectors…how`s that for being subtle !
