part of this is the thrill of having the original PAMS singers.

How do I delete this attempt at a post guys?

Hello Jingle Mad fans, As many of you read my post back in early August I offered a $50 reward to anyone who could provide me a Don or Roberts or a Don Roberts accappella (acap from now on) from PAMS series 31 hoping I could create my own DJ air name. I’m not going to rehash the original post or follow-ups, just search up a bit on this forum. On 9/6 I pulled the offer because of no response and stated I would contact Jon Wolfert, which I did several days later. Norman Barrington, Norm from now on, contacted me on 9/12 to say he had a DR shout, I didn’t see that post till 9/27 and then asked to hear what he had. He had edited several cuts of audio into a DR shout, also In that 12 day span, Norm decided to try his hand making a full DR (acap) Here’s how he did it, for the shout: “I was once known as a whiz with editing with a razorblade, now of course I use a precision digital scalpel! I found a John Frost and a Craig Roberts. But I need a Don not a John so I take a “D” from “have a happy Day” Replace the J of John with the D and get the DON then I combine it with the ROBERTS et voila! For the Don Roberts: “There were plenty of Dons but no Roberts. I spent many hours going through numerous station’s #31 male Acapellas. Found the best Don. Found the nearest to Roberts (Robertson) I elongated the ‘s’ and cut off the ‘on’ adding a new matching echo trail so it still sounds natural” Even as I sent my letter to Jon Wolfert he was already aware it was coming, Jon you see was following my JM posts here and it apparently piqued his interest. Amazing! A few days later Jon contacted me and said “I might be able to dig up two PAMS male acapellas if you want to try putting them together. It’s a long shot” Jon sent a Don Nichols and a Stan Roberts acap https://www.normanb.net/uploads/jonscuts.wav to both myself and Norman since he knew Norm was working on this too. Here’s how the above was created. https://www.normanb.net/uploads/makingthecuts.wav At this point Norm decided to add to his fun by working with his original DR creation and the new acap’s Jon sent and made about a dozen variations, from those I picked my favorite. I was just jacked with what Norm came up with. Now you need to realize that he was working with audio cuts that according to Jon had “differences in tempo, key and sound may make the edit difficult. But I thought I’d leave it to you to experiment with it. Let me know if it works” Well it worked just fine, Norm tweaked and tweaked the audio till it he hit it out of the park. Now as the guy says on TV “But wait there’s more” NB wasn’t done just yet, he decided to take the acap in a slightly different direction, since he liked that Jon’s “Roberts” acap was 2 notes he had a Don that was also 2 notes and thought it popped the name out better, after more editing magic Norm hit it out of the park again, unbelievable!! Thank you sir, you’re amazing, and how about Jon Wolfert taking his valuable time to help out here too. I’m guessing by now you’ve said get to acaps already. FYI the last 3 cuts (at approx :20) are the ones I picked to use.
For those of you who want to know if Norman got the reward, YES HE DID, he earned it.
