May I be the first to thank Nicky Schiller for his ever inventive Tat Paq this year – I have a man drawer at home now pretty much full of ‘useful’ things amassed over the years. I don’t think I’ve ever had to buy a pen since knowing Mr Schiller !

Yes, the “cousins” have their “Thanksgiving”, and no, the UK really could do WITHOUT this newly-imported load of greed-laden embarrassing con-trick called “Black Friday” that no-one here actually really understands or needs (whats wrong with the “January Sales” – even if they now start on December 21st when the made-6-months-ago Easter Eggs arrive on the shelves…?) …

…but Christmas in JingleLand definately starts with that “thud on the doormat” (it actually DID “thud”!) from Nicky!

Thank you once again Sir!
(…although the small First Aid kit including a Burns Plaster (!) is certainly heading in a very sideways “direction” compared with the “sphagetti measuring gubbins” of yesteryear!)

able to, it gives a great excuse to dig out and play Black Friday by Steely Dan on the radio! Already heard it sneekily played on WLNG this morning lol! Great slick 70s rock track!

Wow – seeing as I only posted them yesterday afternoon, second class they’ve arrived rather quickly thanks to the Royal Mail.
And yes it is quite an operation – 90 minutes at the Post Office….

Yeeess!! It’s a big thanks Nicky from me too. I’m still using the pen and sticky pad from last year, as a constant reminder that, at my age, the Nicky Schiller Tat is more useful than the usual socks / handkerchiefs etc., that I receive from “elsewhere”. Best wishes for a happy Christmas and a great 2016 Nicky and all fellow JM’ers

Realising over the years that each person may be sent a slightly different combination of goodies (e.g. pizza cutter, sphagetti gauge, mini-torch, or other past “classics” …) , will there come a time when there will be “Nicky Schiller Tat Collectors”, trading & swapping for rarer items (or even different colour versions of things), in a BeanieB&by-like frenzy, with a Forum/website full of pictures & discussions of such “Collectibles” ?!?

Well, there’s definately at least three different colours of the pencil case!

Not the slightest bit worried about who-gets-what, but do only those of us who are “ancient” get the #wallet for our bus passes ?

So I’m interested that everyone thinks it’s a pencil case … that’s not what it is sold as – but I did realise that it could be used for a whole variety of things hence why I got it also there are 10 different colours of that bit of TAT.
And yes there are a variety of items and to be honest with the amount I send there’s no real logic to who get what – more what’s to hand at that time. Although the people I have known longest do tend to get a few more bits (like Hodgey).

I don’t have my tat yet – in fact, I didn’t even get any last year. Even when I wasn’t collecting, I got it every year. Now that I’m back collecting jingles, I am wondering why nothing came last year. Am I not on the mailing list for tat anymore? Not complaining, just curious.

Well, last year there was a small “#cool” bag thingy that could have doubled up as a protective case for 1990s mobile phones, or possibly as a small boxing glove!

Unless someone tracks down where Nicky gets all these gubbinses from (not Vist&pr*nt…) its all “part of the fun” wondering what some items could actually really be practically “useful” for!
