By the way, I am *very* concerned that both Martin Lester and Michael Bolton like the package – they don’t normally approve of packages that I’m involved with! You’ll both be pleased to know though that I’m still a massive fan of Bespoke’s work though
Quote:Ha if anything is going to unnerve you its my approval!!!
But Chris – I’m liking your work!!! – run for the hills or at least abilene ( of which I have fond memories )
On the second point we can disagree like gentlemen
What I do find exciting is some of the fusion I suspect you are going to do – US instrumentation is always a bit – old fashioned whereas the UK very contemporary – but for singers the US has the edge.Happy new year all – I expect to see some sung christmas cuts next year on the bee Merry christmas fits over 1 0 7 quite nicely!! Just a thought!!
BTW – see if you can get the guys at Noise Fusion to lighten up – they came over as well – arses, its a small world and whilst crackpot jingle collectors are not the be all and end all if they want to be attitudey musicians then so be it, I don’t really see the difference between a link to the page in these forums and putting up details of the comany in the directory I mean the audio is not in a non-linked area of the site, its in a publically accessable part of the site and therefore available to the world.
I mean – listen to it but dont dare keep a copy!!! Howabout a more gentle reminder that its copyright and should not be used for broadcast or commercial use at all without permission – I don’t think a few peole on here having it on thier hard drive is going to damage the company.
But hey ho! theys just my viewDecember 29, 2005 at 12:23 pm #26987mbMemberBy the way, I am *very* concerned that both Martin Lester and Michael Bolton like the package – they don’t normally approve of packages that I’m involved with! Thanks David!
Great memories! And that is a jingle which never made it to air.
Here’s another trivia fact: We use a local mix of cut 1 as the TOH, and do not currently use the actual package TOH on-air at the moment. I’m sure it will come out on a special occasion.
My favourite cut is Cut 5 (R& loving the vocals especially. You’ll hear me use that cut once an hour every night on the late show as the “ten-to-teaser” bed.
I’d love to use the ‘Lancashire’ version of the TOH on-air, but it is for demo purposes only!

December 29, 2005 at 6:13 pm #25496BelloJust had a listen to The Bee material on the TM Century website and I’m taking a liking to the Northants 96 resings! Hard to believe (Fascinating fact alert) but the last time the name ‘Northants 96’ was sung was 19 years ago by the original TMCI!
Of course since then the station was renamed ‘Northants Radio’ before GWRE reverted back to the original name.
Anyway…I notice that the vocal style on the Northants 96 resings are slightly different to The Bee, I’m guessing its either a slight change in the vocalist line-up or the mixing out was different to help demonstrate the different vocal styles of the package.

December 29, 2005 at 6:43 pm #25497UKJinglesMemberThat is a very good package (demo)
Catchy and no “echo/tech effects” to try and make it sound Hip!
Well done all involved.
Few questions though;-
Which Dallas Vocal Group is being used?
How is Brazil involved?
Apart from Northants are any other GCAP stations using it?December 29, 2005 at 6:43 pm #26991UKJinglesMemberThat is a very good package (demo)
