I agree. I remembered wen KVIL used to air jingles from lighthouse studios. but now transitioning to ReelWorld is now a big change. After all, it is light FM, so the ReelWorld team has done it again, singing the popular "Light FM" melody that we all know and love, since WLTW in New York aired their jingles during the christmas holiday season. ReelWorld rocks!
It's a very good AC package. There's nothing Hot AC or CHR about them.
The radio nerds (and I'm one of them) sometimes forget that the product has to evolve with the listeners. The target has moved. Today's adult women are still like ballads and the songs they remember, but more than ever, they're just as interested in fun, upbeat songs and staying current with the world. If AC wants to continue to be relevant, they have to move along with them.
I find the ReelWorld sound increasingly irritating - nice tracks with always-the-same vocals making them a bit, er, unsophisticated. Or perhaps I'm just too subtle for today's AC!
I think these jingles are in line with the way AC jingles should sound - influenced by today's rhythmic pop, but lighter and more musical than what you'd expect from a CHR package. The vocals could be a little better, but at least they're not screaming in your face like some other RW packages. All in all, it's a good sound for today's AC.

What happened to AC radio, does it still exist? These cuts are more HOT AC or even Light CHR... KOIT in San Fransisco more sounds like AC to me...

Yep, it does. Reelworld's jingles are so versatile, you can even change the melody of the sonic logos of each jingle packages.
From what I know, this is the one with the WLIT sonic logo melody, but the singing sounds like KOST's logo melody.
This is the KOST version of the jingle WITH the KOST sonic logo.
And this one uses the Sunny 99.1 logo melody.
I guess Reelworld really do have that "we can do that" attitude when it comes to making jingles.
Interesting concept.
Oddly enough, thought up by a gentleman by the name of Meeks over 60 years ago.
