edited September 2012 in Jingles Yesterday!
Does one know who the British guy is voicing these County Sound Radio liners ?

  • Hey David,

The Brit is either Chris Kay or Alan Beardsley (Alfa) - as for the Yank, can't help you there, even I don't have him in my collection ;-)
  • The US voice might have been the late Stan Wessel (sp?).
  • Yes the British voice is definitely Chris Kaye.
  • Thanks guys for your answers...still not sure of the American guy ?
  • Is Allan Beardsley still working?
  • Not sure. It's Allan Bardsley though isn't it?

Love that David. I can just hear that amazing news jingle whenever I hear that voice over!
  • I tend to get the two guys mixed up but think Allan is a little "deeper" (perhaps they are one of the same?) . Didn't Chris work at Granada TV as a Cont Announcer (glad I spelt that correctly) , he kindly did me some VOs many moons ago, nice guy!
  • Allan is deeper.

I have to agree with Good Time Oldie and Spoons

Alan does have a Deeper Voice !

The US Voice is Stan Wessel as on several PAMS and KenR Demo's

Chris Kay would be Ideal for LBC as after 7 or 8 Years the Current Voice (Can't Recall His Name but is one of the most annoying voices on radio!)
  • Ok chaps, just to clarify, here`s some of the Alan Bardsley liners….

  • Hear is another Alan Bardsley Voice over Recorded at AlphaSound

  • Just for the record, Trella Hart (from the PAMS gang) did a voice session also and a UK female voice, who I don`t recognise recorded a liner package also.

Therefore, 3 guys & 2 gals voiced for CSR.
  • The US version is definitely Stan Wessel. He is my late father. Can you help me find more of his recordings?
  • Although a very old thread, and some participants are no longer with us,perhaps this could be a helpful thread to re-explore on behalf of this new JM member?
    :-)
